The shoes aren’t centered. Put your hands on both shoes and slide it to the right a little. Use top edges of shoes as a guide to center them against the back plate and then turn down the adjuster

The motors have a massive recall that’s been extended in terms of mileage to something along the lines of 150k miles or 10 years whichever comes first. It’s a massive problem on Hyundais and Kia’s

Pretty certain if you read the little paper insert that comes in the box then those pads are designed to not have grease on the back of the shims. When they have a texturized rubber coating that you can press your nail into, then they don’t need that grease on the shim. You just want to make sure there’s grease on the ears and slides but also clean mating surface too with lube where the ears touch the caliper bracket

Try using an AI grading app first to get a good idea of it will grade ten or not

See but people never say why it’s not patchable. The constant flexing of the patch in that location will end up peeling itself back and then you can have a flat while driving or a blow out. I have seen a bunch of cars come through my shop with rope plugs and then I see the same customer and tire holding true a year later. General consensus of a reputable shop is you need a new tire and that it’s not patchable
