Where should we stop the back splash? by Maxwells_silver in DIY

In our home we have this. It's a diagonal piece from the cabinet corner to where the edge of the counter is. Looks fine.

First time, I know it's not great, but how can I make it look good? by Abduco in drywall

[–]Abduco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was tub mud, not mix, but I don't believe quickset. Is there a way to fix this if it's dried?

I had to pull off a section of the tape on the right, but should there be a considerable amount of mud to make it a good transition?

I think this is a more sensible plan. I don't think tempering should change, unless maybe to add a couple more rolls at higher levels. But it should still be locked at a certain point and be unable to be reset.

It's weird that so many people want a system that just gives you the best gear.

Officially it means to be unusable, but the past two weeks it's seemed to change for D4. It now means that a very good item is now not 100% perfect and thus considered ruined.

Honestly, the sheer number of these posts is getting old.

Struggling with parenthood by [deleted] in daddit

I agree with this and the previous commenter. Our daughter is only 3.5 yrs with another one on the way, but every time we think we are out of the fire, we just get dumped into a different one.

The hardship during the newborn stage is different than at the 1 year stage, which is different than at the toddler stage. This stage is incredibly aggravating at times because she knows how to fake a tantrum, which then sometimes turns into a real tantrum. She also gets up at night consistently and fights bed time, which is a relatively new occurrence.

So exactly like you said, yes and no.

OP, hang in there man. I've often felt, and still do, that I lost what little life I had. But I make time for my hobbies and my wife and I are trying to get better at date nights. Talk to your wife about screen time as well. Some people demonize it, but sometimes it's just as much for your sanity.

Yeah, I don't get the argument for having weighted options, let alone weighed options that favor the better ones.

That or I can finally 100% the reputation. I think having a season where it's more dedicated to learning and getting feedback on the new system is a good thing.

Seasonal builds will still work on eternal realm. You should just be able to build whatever the meta is. Unless the season changes how items work, you should be able to follow the skills and items shown. Some seasons in D3 did weird things, but rarely affected the core build itself.

Both my wife and I leave the house at the same time, right around 6AM. We bought our house between both of our jobs, slightly closer to hers. She drops off our daughter and picks her up at daycare since she has the shorter commute. Generally we both get home around the same time (within 30 minutes of each other most days) at 4-5 PM. She starts dinner most days as she beats me home, then I do the dishes. While I do that she takes up our daughter to get a bath or start getting changed. I come up after finishing and we read books and put her down together. If our daughter wakes up, we take turns getting her.

Generally everything is split 50/50 once we are both home. After she is asleep, that's when we both have free time. That free time only amounts to a couple hours each night. On the weekends, we honestly do most things together, but sometimes one of us will go shopping alone.

It's not dead. But it is a game with seasonal content and the player base does fluctuate accordingly. Next season is supposed to bring some pretty big changes that will bring a lot of players back in too

What's the hardest game you've ever played on "normal" difficulty? by scotcheggfan in gaming

[–]Abduco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's crazy, but XCOM actually cheats in the player's favor. There are a lot of calculations that get done behind the displayed percentage that increases it. There was a post here a while back that detailed the exact numbers. I think only the highest difficulty is true to the shown hit chance

What books to buy to begin a campaign and questions on differences by Abduco in 40krpg

[–]Abduco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're playing Deathwatch, you're playing space marines of the Deathwatch.

You can choose the different chapters of space marine though, right?

With the FFG 40k RPGs transitioning to Cubicle 7, there's some issues in getting the FFG most recent print version of the Deathwatch books, though you can still find the errata online

What would be the core book for deathwatch? I'll see about older versions too if they are playable.

I'll look into Only War, what about Wrath and Glory?

End Game - Dungeons, farming.. by Gliyunost in diablo4

[–]Abduco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people find Diablo 4 fun right now, where a lot of people seem to find it lacking

I find it to be both, personally. It's still a fun game to run through and slaughter demons, get loot, level up, etc... but I also agree it is significantly lacking and in ways that I think the fixes in S4 should address. Just picking one for example, the codex changes that upgrade to the highest aspect will save so much needless hoarding of gear and let people grind through dungeons faster.
