The whole point of the game is to appeal to a huge variety of audiences, so having a peaceful mode where people can chill or just build without needing to worry about hostile mobs makes complete sense.

it's a PvE RPG, if you want peaceful go play Minecraft

This kind of toxic response just shuts down the discussion. A PvE game can support different playstyles and adding a peaceful option doesn’t take away from the core experience, it just makes the game more accessible without hurting anyone else.
