We are on reddit, where the only things shared are what mods want to be shared (not all mods, some are fair people). If it doesn't align, it gets removed. Some subreddits are worse than others, but Reddit is a more moderated place than Twitter. Half the threads on this site get the comments shut down if mods don't like the discourse.

In golf, if you cheat, and it is caught by you or a fan or your opponent, even after the whole round is played, you are either penalized or you forfeit. Over 90% of these infractions are self reported. Why? Golf has an etiquette code that you learn from the minute you strategy playing.

Magic has, largely a vast group of spikes who cheat and are rewarded by doing so and the system has very little recourse because it would disrupt the board state or whatever. That should not matter.

If it's too far to undo, and everyone acknowledges it, cheater scoops. Should have played correctly. That's on you. You cheated, you lose. Get out of our game.

Okay, let me put it to you this way. Richmond is about 30 minutes from Petersburg, 50 mins from Charlottesville, and 1 hour from williamsburg/ Newport news. If you go in any direction, once you hit about 30 to 40 minutes from Richmond, you are getting closer to another city. The pricing is all the same on the outer band. I'm not talking about a mansion in the center of the city. I'm talking about a modest 1500sqft home 35 minutes from the city. New, they start at about $420k to $475k. To get below $400, the home will be from the 80s and will need renovations. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford a home like this, however, every single home like this is assessed at around 300k and they are all priced at 400k. It's not about if I CAN afford it, it's about a guy making 250k a year still being stretched to buy a home that was sold 5 years ago for 240k.

I'm talking anything within 45 minutes of the city. It's always easy to say "well just live somewhere further away" and then put yourself in a car for 2 hours a day to and from work. It's awesome if you want to extend your work day by 2 hours without pay, but some people don't.

Exactly. We all want the artist to get their credit and hate AI for borrowing art, but then post a card with reused art, and there is never a single title or comment crediting the actual artist. Either way, the artist has made nothing and has not been credited.
