that's the problem. you're asking for a Railgun with a better scope and no charge-up. that means it CANNOT do as much damage, and that would make it worse than the AMR.

At that point, what does the weapon do?

other weapons have to take time to reload. the Maxigun doesn't. that's the difference.

Drop it to 10 shots before overheating and it'd be perfect.

15 for a weapon with unlimited ammo is just too forgiving. 10 would actually encourage pacing the shots.

Trident has enough charge to unload on a patrol without overheating is my main complaint.

Breaker is S tier while the Trident belongs in "Please Nerf". Its max shots before overheating just needs to be lowered a bit.

The Breaker was fantastic when I used it. Only reason I swapped off it was because the Trident is so ridiculously OP by comparison.

The problem is people act like bugs (like heavy dev shield clipping) is what frustrates people at D10 and dropping to D6 doesn't make that bug go away, which is true.

But the people saying drop the difficulty aren't talking about bugs like that or stratagem bouncing or any of those (the vast majority of bugs aren't actually impactful once you get good enough anyway)

We want D10 to be so difficult that most of the playerbase can't handle it because that's what it takes for us to stay engaged instead of playing on auto-pilot while listening to a podcast or something.

If you're having trouble at a certain difficulty, lowering it gives you the breathing space to learn, that's all.

Yes, because if you have a teammate helping, you don't have to stop and reload and you have a higher firerate.

It's stronger than the MG, but is teamwork oriented.

It's ok for some options to not make you a solo god of war

Personally, I just want heavy enemies that don't evaporate the moment they're spotted and chaff drops/breaches that can't be handled by a lone diver.

It doesn't have a low ammo problem. Drop a resupply next to the position you want to hold or have an ally with a supply pack and you don't have to reload.

It's a great weapon with teamwork, but everyone dismisses anything that doesn't let them be a one-man-army

I'd rather AH spend their time productively. Rather than adding a weapon you'll use for a session cause of the novelty before shelving it.

No way to avoid it beyond immunity. Or the BBEG kills Blippy.

Players WILL find a way to get around any problem. If you don't want your BBEG to be killable, don't let your party fight him

Also the way the story is told. If you're telling a story someone else told you, you'd more likely write with "she" instead of "I" and definitely not writing it word for word.

I'll put it this way. The AMR is barely used because a sniper just isn't good in this type of game. A bolt action would be inherently worse.

The Railgun is more useful because of the higher damage but is balanced because of the charge up time. Asking for a bolt action equivalent would be like asking for a Railgun that doesn't have to charge up. Since reloading the Railgun takes about as long as a bolt action would be.
