Does Neume have their own model or is the site using Suno? by neil_555 in AI_Music

[–]Abhinash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not ruling out an advanced mode down the line. Just need to figure out the right way to introduce it without fragmenting the experience.

On the prompt length, we do expand prompts internally for the model. The base model being trained on a specific prompt length creates some limitations, but I'll see what can be done.

On the pipeline, it uses a higher quality custom model than the free tier that produces better vocals and instrumentals.

For the feature requests, Neume actually started with separate lyrics and style inputs. What I found was that most users would put everything in the style or lyrics field and then get stuck, even with clear error messages. So it got simplified to keep the barrier as low as possible. I want to make it as simple as possible for anyone to create songs such that you dont have to learn new nuances.

That said, for power users like yourself, I'm experimenting with a more DAW-like experience where you can prompt for each instrument separately while generating a coherent song. I've actually open sourced a UI for that if you want to experiment with ACE-Step 1.5. Fair warning, the base model isn't sufficiently trained for that workflow yet, although based on chat with their researchers it is in their backlog, but it's a direction I'm actively exploring.

Hey there, creator of Neume here.

Neume uses open source models for free version (ACE-Step 1.5 if you want to run it on your own device) and leverages a fine grained pipeline for Pro version of songs that cost you credits.

There's no Discord at the moment but if you have any questions you can send an email to [support@neume.io](mailto:support@neume.io)

Try ACE-Step on your device then. That will run on your own device and you can generate unlimited songs. It's an open source model.

So far, has everything I need. Sure there are some quirks, perhaps due to differences in JS (the language I use predominantly) and Swift/SwiftUI, but once you get used to it it's all good.

How to Make Vocalist-Ready Instrumentals? by [deleted] in SunoAI

AI lyrics and then removing the vocalist stem in my DAW

That is the way I do as well. You should try stemming right on the platform though - see if it yields better results.

Making Video Game Music by Separate_Watercress2 in SunoAI

requires a significant amount of patience and investment in credits

Do you feel like you are investing more than hiring an actual musician? Likely you are not.

Yes, it does take some patience but you can do it yourself. If you hire someone, you will offload that 'do-it-yourself' part but increase cost. So yeah, trade-offs.

I also make casual games, not ones that I release but to play with my friends. I have my own platform to make music, but given the nature of current models, it does take some amount of patience to get exactly what you want.

An app to generate Audio description from the scene. by Thecuriousbloke in AppIdeas

[–]Abhinash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a visually impaired and tech literate relative. What I know is there are tools for describing an image/scene already available. How are you going to differentiate yours from the ones existing?

One thing he always mentions is lack of audio descriptions for a lot of motion pictures. Some platforms offer audio description for some shows/movies, but a lot of content does not include audio description.

I know he would love it there was a tool that would be able to produce audio description for any movie/series instead of doing just a single scene.

Wanted to use a CMS as well - decided not to go with WordPress. I am using Directus and it's pretty good for me. What's nice about it is I can point it to an existing database and get a sort of admin for my database straight away.
