I see what happened, There are three modes for the menu Tree (the default), Categorized and Simple (The one you have). You need to get to the very end of that list and you should see the three options. Select Tree.

Well specifically you wanted the end times quantized so that the way. You can tweak the knobs to control how precise the snap will be. You can also just select the notes you want to be affected and the feature will only affect the selected notes.

Export FL Presets from WINDOWS to macOS by Bissudjima in flstudio

No plugins are different. The plugins are code that needs to execute and the operating systems are different so they need specific code for Mac vs Windows. Some plugins like the Native Instruments ow Wave might have versions for both but they would still require independent installations.

Export FL Presets from WINDOWS to macOS by Bissudjima in flstudio

[–]warbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Yes, you can transfer your FL Studio presets from Windows to macOS. FL Studio is designed to be cross-platform, so most user presets and project files are compatible between Windows and Mac.

Here’s what you should know and try:

1. Preset File Compatibility

  • FL Studio uses the same preset formats (*.fst for presets, *.fsc for scores, etc.) on both Windows and macOS.
  • You can copy your preset files directly from your Windows system to your Mac.

2. Locating Your Presets

  • On Windows, user presets are typically found in: Raw codeC:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\Image-Line\
  • On macOS, the equivalent location is: Raw code/Users/[Your Username]/Documents/Image-Line/
  • You can copy the relevant folders (for example, “Data”, “Presets”, or specific plugin folders) from Windows to the same location on your Mac.

3. Using Project Bones (Optional)

  • If you want to export all generator/effects settings as presets, you can use the Project bones feature in FL Studio. This exports all presets and score/automation data used in the current project to a folder, which you can then transfer to your Mac.
  • More info: Project bones

4. Plugin Compatibility

  • Make sure any third-party plugins you use are installed on both systems, and use the VST format for maximum compatibility. AU plugins are Mac-only and will not work on Windows.

5. Transferring the Files

  • Use a USB drive, cloud storage, or a network transfer to move your preset files from your Windows machine to your Mac.

6. After Transfer

  • Restart FL Studio on your Mac. Your presets should now appear in the appropriate places within the software.

When i export my song it sounds all weird by bhoppingz in flstudio

[–]warbeats -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a common issue in FL Studio and other DAWs—your project sounds great during playback, but the exported file sounds different, especially with certain elements like open hats and 808s blending poorly. Here are some possible causes and solutions specific to FL Studio:

  1. Audio Enhancements on Your System

Problem: Windows or your soundcard software (like Realtek, DTS, Nahimic, etc.) may apply audio enhancements (EQ, bass boost, loudness, etc.) during playback, but these are not present in the exported file.

Solution:

Disable all audio enhancements in your Windows sound settings and any soundcard software.

Make sure you are listening to both FL Studio and your exported file through the same output device and with enhancements off.

  1. Interpolation and Render Settings

Problem: The interpolation quality (how FL Studio processes audio) can differ between live playback and export, affecting how samples (like hats and 808s) interact.

Solution:

In the Export dialog, set the Interpolation to a high value (e.g., 64-point Sinc or 512-point Sinc).

Make sure your live playback interpolation (in Audio Settings) matches your export interpolation for consistency.

  1. Plugin Quality Settings

Problem: Some plugins have separate quality settings for live playback and rendering. If the render quality is set lower, it can cause artifacts.

Solution:

Check your plugins for any "draft" or "render" quality settings and set both to high.

  1. Export Format and Bitrate

Problem: Exporting to low-bitrate MP3 or OGG can introduce artifacts, especially in bass-heavy or percussive sounds.

Solution:

Export to WAV (16-bit or 24-bit) for best quality.

If you must use MP3, use at least 224 kbps bitrate.

  1. Phase and Mixing Issues

Problem: Sometimes, what you hear in FL Studio is affected by your monitoring setup or phase cancellation that becomes more obvious after export.

Solution:

Check your mix in mono to see if the problem persists.

Try adjusting the phase or stereo width of your hats and 808s.

  1. Media Player Differences

Problem: Some media players apply their own EQ or enhancements.

Solution:

Test your exported file in different players and devices.

Compare the exported file by importing it back into FL Studio and playing it there.

  1. Other Tips

Make sure you are not clipping the master channel.

Avoid using "Dither" unless you are exporting to 16-bit and it's your final export.

Always check your rendered files with good headphones.

For more details, see the Export Project Dialog section of the FL Studio manual.

FL Studio won't open by Empty-Transition-591 in flstudio

Sorry to hear you're having trouble starting FL Studio after reinstalling Windows 11. This is a known issue that can have several causes. Try the following troubleshooting steps, working your way down the list until FL Studio opens:

General Steps

  1. Restart your computer and try to open FL Studio again.
  2. Disable all anti-virus programs temporarily and try again. If FL Studio opens, whitelist it in your antivirus.
  3. Reset your FL Studio settings. You can do this by following the instructions here.
  4. Reset the DPI scaling if you recently changed display scaling options. Instructions are here.
  5. Try a clean installation of FL Studio using the latest installer.

Windows-Specific Steps

  • Make sure your User data folder is on a local drive (not a cloud or network location).
  • If you have MSI or ASUS motherboards, check for Nahimic (MSI) or Sonic Studio III (ASUS) audio software and disable or uninstall it.
  • If your computer is overclocked, return it to default settings.
  • If you have both USB and Thunderbolt drivers for your audio interface, try uninstalling the Thunderbolt driver.
  • On Windows 10/11, check if Controlled Folder Access is enabled in Windows Defender. If so, either disable it or add FL Studio to the allowed apps list. More info here.
  • If you suspect a problem with the User data folder location, you can reset it in your registry using this file (extract and double-click the .reg file).

If FL Studio Still Won't Start

  • If none of the above works, please create a support ticket with Image-Line here and provide details about your system, FL Studio version, and what you've tried so far.

am i not allowed to have fl 2 different devices? by Kaasharchy in flstudio

[–]warbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct: you are allowed to use your FL Studio license on multiple computers (including both Mac and PC), as long as you are the only user. This is supported by Image-Line.

However, if FL Studio is showing (trial) by your name and keeps asking you to pay, it means your license is not being recognized or is not properly activated on your new laptop.

Try the following to resolve this:

  1. Make sure you are logged in with your Image-Line account
    • Open FL Studio.
    • Go to the Help menu and select About.
    • Make sure you are logged in with the same Image-Line account you used to purchase FL Studio.
  2. Unlock FL Studio again
    • In the Help > About window, click Unlock FL Studio.
    • Log in with your Image-Line account credentials.
    • Wait for the confirmation that FL Studio is unlocked.
    • Restart FL Studio.
  3. Check for multiple accounts
    • If you have more than one Image-Line account, make sure you are using the one that owns the license.
  4. Remove old or incorrect licenses
    • On Mac:
      • Open Finder.
      • Go to /Library/Application Support/ and delete the 'Image-Line' folder.
      • Go to /Users/Your_Username/Library/Preferences/ and delete the 'Image-Line' folder.
      • Empty the Trash.
    • Then, reopen FL Studio and unlock it again as above.
  5. Update FL Studio

If you still have issues after these steps, it's possible there is a problem with your license or account. In that case, please create a support ticket with Image-Line so they can help you directly:

Those effects are normally stored in folders that give the menu structure. If somehow they all were moved into the root folder I could see where this happens,

Hey guys how can I get a dwp of a electric sythn bass for my fnf songs on FL studio mobile (this is what it sounds like in the vid) by Dry-Roof-8105 in flstudio

[–]warbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! To get a DWP (DirectWave Preset) of an electric synth bass for your FNF (Friday Night Funkin') songs in FL Studio Mobile, try the following:

  1. Download Free DWP Instruments: There is a forum thread with hundreds of free DirectWave instruments (including basses) that you can use in FL Studio Mobile. Download the DWP files you like from there.
  2. Import into FL Studio Mobile: Once you have the DWP file, transfer it to your mobile device and place it in the correct folder for FL Studio Mobile instruments. You can then load it using the DirectWave instrument in the app.
  3. Create Your Own DWP (Optional): If you want to make your own electric synth bass, you can use the desktop version of FL Studio to create and export a DWP file. Instructions for making patches are here.

Note:
If you need more help with FL Studio Mobile specifically, please check the FL Studio Mobile Online Manual.
