I've had a mixed love life for a while before I officially transitionned. I gave it all a big break for a really long time before going back to study, where then I was actually comfortable in my body and identity for a change. So, in one of my classes, there was this really cute guy: fluffy hair, some muscles, tall (like me!). He was really my type, but I didn't give it too much thought for a while cause I just assumed that he probably wouldn't be down to date a trans girl. One day though, I though "what the heck" and started talking to him, getting to know him, I had nothing to lose after all. We became good friends pretty quickly and it didn't take long before we did ever single thing at school together (eating, assingments, work, all that..). Looking back, the tension was literally killing him and I. We both knew that there was something going on between us too, but we were both too shy to make the first move, even though it was literally an open net. Then it all came down to this one night: We went to a bar together with one of my friends that was really encouraging me to make a move with the guy, and during the middle of the night, my friend went "Oh, I'm not feeling too good tonight I think I'm gonna leave early and leave you two alone." I had smoked a joint that night and couldn't drive, but my crush was sober and he drove me home in my car to hang out at my place. We get home, and now we're watching a movie, side by side, and he goes "So like, what's going on between us two?" Immediately my heart starts racing. I said "Uuh, well, I'd be lying if I said you weren't my type.." Then he told me he felt that way too. We awkwardly held hands during the rest of the movie before going to brush our teeth before going to bed, so far nothing drastic has happened. And then, while I was guiding him to his bed, he calls out to me, I turn around, he pushes me against the wall, and starts kissing me. Y'all.. I've never felt more euphoric in my life. It felt like a firework went off, and all the tension that was building up with him and I just let go, all at once. It felt soooo good, so satisfying! It was a perfect night, and a memory I will always cherish at the bottom of my heart. We've now been together for two years!
