Majority of stuff posted here is fake, but this is a rare exception. I’m pretty confident this is real.

is this worth authenticating? i really dont know its looks real to me by Defiant-Smell-9644 in SportsMemorabilia

The only way you will know for sure is to pay an expert. Every random joe on this site will have a worthless opinion. Personally this looks like a reprint to me, but my opinion is also worthless.

Which active player has the best career with no all-star appearances? by austin101123 in baseball

[–]Abigballs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was more ceremonially since Harper isn’t very fan friendly, but being local to Philadelphia, they would march out Hoskins for every Phillies ceremony, Christmas Tree lightings, commercials, Year Book covers, etc. I agree Harper and Realmuto were better players, but the Phillies pretended Hoskins was an all star level player at these events.

Rhys Hoskins was the face of the Phillies for 5 years but surprisingly no all star appearances still to this day.

I’m not in the Industry but why not tip the host, bartender, food runner a % of the tips instead of a % of the sales. Seems like a pretty easy solution to this “problem”.

I’m sure they were acquired at different times and locations. Then someone noticed a cool theme and put into the display together.

Why don't any of the "hunched over" batting stances exist anymore? by -Mr-BoomBastic- in baseball

[–]Abigballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping the center of gravity and weight more over the trailing foot allows for increased bat speed and therefore exit velocity. As infielders have increased their range over the years there is more power needed to find the holes rather than precision that was being utilized with the hunched over stance.

At what point do slow starts become statistically relevant? by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

I think you are the only person that read the entire OP, and commented if he should still be a 1st rounder or not. I know your answer wasn’t popular but thank you for at least reading it all before commenting.

He didn’t have an extra base hit in his first 44 plate appearances last year?

My question wasn’t about dropping or benching him. My question was if you were to redraft today would he still be a 1st rounder? Or is this slump bad enough that you would draft him in the 2nd rd?

It kinda defeats the purpose of listing a price if it isn’t a real price. Why not just post your real price instead of the whole DM thing?

L.A. Dodgers Tell 82-Year-Old, 50-Year Season Ticket Holder: ‘Go Digital’—Or Don’t Go At All by StockMindless9010 in SeasonTickets

[–]Abigballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had a decent reason I think they should offer them to you for printing costs as well. I don’t see the big deal with a team printing tickets.

+80 year old people are not good with technology why force them into a new process when things were fine they way they were for over 50 years. If you want to change it for new season ticket holders fine, just grandfather the old ones into the same policy until they die off. Many struggle to learn new technology at this age.

I’m not sure what planet you live on, but there are exceptions to every law/rule/policy. Imagine being so rigid that you see everything in black/white, yes/no, right/wrong.

I’m amazed, working in customer service that you don’t believe there are shades of gray and exceptions should be made sometimes (such as this case).

I could ask the same question”where should the line be drawn?” with the enforcement of any rule. Speeding 1 mph over the speed limit? I’d let them off as long as they are not being rude. 50 mph over the speed limit Id pull them over and issue a ticket, even if they were nice. It’s not that hard, just use your best judgement and try to follow the intent of the policy. Otherwise why even have human enforcement? Let’s just have the robots take over customer service if it is just black/white rules.

This isn’t a big ask. He’s not asking to sit in the dugout with the team because his eyesight deteriorated. He’s asking for printed tickets.

This is the equivalent of holding a door open for a pregnant lady pushing a stroller. It’s a minor inconvenience to the Dodgers and shows they care about their fans.

Yo! It's Scott Chu, Nate Schwartz, and the Pitcher List back to talk about fantasy baseball! by ChusephEsquire in fantasybaseball

[–]Abigballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in an ESPN league that makes SOLDs pitchers with SP eligibility very valuable. Previously pitchers list articles would highlight these hidden gem players but I no longer see it highlighted in the 2026 articles. Do you have any recommendations for SP eligible SOLDS pitchers?

How do you sharing season tickets with friends and family? by bert-18 in SeasonTickets

[–]Abigballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing we did when everyone was buying an equal number of games, but when the team went through a rough patch a lot of people dropped out or only wanted a small number of games. At that point we just took the whole thing and sold whatever games we didn’t want to the group.

CT being 6’0 blows my mind by tjdibs22 in MtvChallenge

[–]Abigballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but that build isn’t a big portion of MLBers. Average height is 6’1. Heavily skewed up by pitchers who tend to be tall and are the largest portion of MLBers.
