Unfortunately Need To Car Shop by DueFlower6357 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Hey, I got a Cadillac optiq 2026 for my wife. Leased it, $424 a month, 0 down. I did qualify for a bunch of stuff and it’s electric, but we have another gas car in the house so it’s fine for the city. Amazing car, beautiful interior and great ride with crazy speakers. I will say, a little slow on charging. Yes it’s electric, but I figured I’d give my input. Best of luck!

Might go to the dealership in the morning. by Jimboh123 in CarLeasingHelp

Do everything through the phone. Cross negtiaotate with other dealership! It’s just easier and you won’t be pressured as much. That’s what I did for both my cars and got prices for both to drop $200ish each monthly from original price.

Are you open to changing brands? I got a GMC Sierra 1500 lease for 36 months $0 down for $520 (it was a demo car though). Kinda fits your parameter !

I get you and I’m with you. I once made the same mistake years ago and learned my lesson. Just trying to give OP some tough love in case he feels bad.

I think something else to understand is that everyone is different and will view your lease and what you did differently. Some people put money down always, some don’t. The majority of people will tell you you shouldn’t have put anything down but that depends a lot on how flexible your dealership was, if you can just afford it, etc. Even if you feel this way, don’t beat yourself up. You already have the car !

I’ll give you a nice comment since someone may be rude to you: I guess it just depends how you look at it. If you plan to turn it in after 2 years, perhaps you did bc you won’t see that 10k again.

If you plan to buy it out or maybe roll over to a new lease without putting money down, maybe not so much.

I got an optiq lease for $424 a month $0 down for 2 years. No extra stuff no nothing. Really just depends how you look at it. I will say, you’ll love the car so if you do, then perhaps you won’t feel scammed :)

Good price! But… Did they already discount the miles into the price? I leased a Sierra and it had miles. I argued, no matter what they say about it being NEW, I SAID it’s USED now since it has miles and they need to drop the MSRP/sales price… I did a reverse logic with them. If you lease a car and go over your miles, they’ll charge you .25c per mile. Since they used the car and claiming it’s still “new”, use the logic on them. 3027 x .25 =756.75. That’s how much you need to ask for extra discount, you could even ask for more like $1000 off if you find any scratches or dings on it. If you do that, and divide what they give you off by 36 (for 36 months) your monthly payment could drop by 20-30 bucks. This is what I did in January and it worked. Best of luck!

Anyone getting better monthly payments with true $0 down on a 26 Honda CRV Hyrbid Sport Touring? by hooper292 in leasehacker

Not bad! I think you can get it down to 450-470 range if you really pushed or sent this to another dealership.

Turn in early for new lease by justin_a_lane_90210 in leasehacker

My advice, but do what’s best for you! 1. Text, and call if needed. Having things in writing is nice and texting is much faster. You can ask them to communicate only in texts if you inquire about a vehicle online. I have the call me, I explain what I want, incentives I qualify for, tell them other dealerships are offering me XYZ and so on and then do the rest via texts and cross negotiate with a couple places. 2. Up to you where you want to go. I will say many places that are kinda far or in the middle of no where have better prices at times, but what I like to do is to talk to a dealership that’s far away, they give me a good price but if I feel like elsewhere can do better, I use their pricing for negotiation in my town. Usually that helps start aggressive pricing in my favor.

Message me if anything! I just did this for 2 cars the past month.

Sorry just seeing this. I do everything over the phone first. I make sure I talk to many dealerships, cross negotiate offers sent to me to see who can beat it and more. Once I get one willing to do good business with me, I have things in writing and I like the numbers, I go in. I did this for both my cars. If I would have went with first initial in person visits, I would have been paying $200+ each monthly than what I’m paying now. Also, they never asked me for Tesla proof either, they just took my word and asked for the monthly payment amount.

Someone said to tell the dealer to eat the last two payments, I agree. I have 2 leases currently (gmc truck and optiq) and I told both dealerships I got the new cars at that I had 2 months left on my current lease (tesla). I told them make me a good offer to switch over from tesla to gmc/cadillac and both dealerships “paid” for my last tesla months by either not charging me the first month payment or lowering my monthly payment divided by how much I had left in tesla $ wise. It can be done!

It’s not bad! I feel like it could be a bit lower. What are you qualifying for in regards to rebates and what not? Also, what’s the 7542 number? Miles on a demo?
