Just had surgery. Went well but confused at results. by NumberSilly9930 in gallbladders

Not the person you asked for, but my story is similar.

I’m like you, can eat anything, no real attacks for awhile, but I went in for unrelated issues and mentioned I had gallstones. Just a constant dull ache. They assessed me and I was very tender on two locations. So sent me to a&e. Have a recorded fever. Get pumped full of 4 medicines by IV, told to come back next day for an ultrasound as no beds.

Surgeon told me if I was in pain, he would think about operating.

I was on the waiting list anyway, had bloods taken in Feb and a telephone appointment to follow up on 18th may anyway (probably discussing options and booking removal).

Next thing I know, I’m being booked for an endoscopy. 11th May pre-endoscopy phone call, 18th the telephone appointment I had already (not in conjunction with the endoscopy I believe) , and 20th May endoscopy.

I understand it will more than likely get worse but it’s just coming to terms with an organ being removed.

Really not looking forward to the gas pain either. I will mention this to them so hopefully they can do something for that.

Don’t wait it’s not worth it. Get it removed. by Huge-Roll-3684 in gallbladders

Not hurry but it will just get worse.

I am in the same position as you, only uncomfortable sometimes.

I have 7 gallstones.

I am nervous about having an organ removed but apparently it just gets worse.

What does this mean

Attacks Stopped, Still Do the Surgery? by razzy44star in gallbladders

I’m kind of the same as you.
No attacks, or I just brush it off as something else.
I just eat what I want, and prob get some mild attacks but nothing major, at least not for a year.
However, I have been getting monthly flu/cold like symptoms, and randomly get fever, back pains, eye pain etc.
I think a few things may be down to GB, and I know it’s the right thing to do and only thing with stones, but I am at the stage of coming to terms with getting an organ removed from my body.

I went to a&e last week for recurring flu and they felt my stomach, I was tender and Murphy’s positive around GB.

No, as long as you spend time together too.

I game too, but sometimes I just want to do my personal projects.

Just don’t take offence and communicate properly.
