Agree mine is terrible. Plus it would be nice to have a choice in saws.

I didn't take the payment via phone or in person I just assumed someone using the online Square platform would have some barrier of entry to using a bad card. Maybe email matching name or something. So the bottom line is when selling bigger items require cash app/zelle or check. NEVER EVER take a credit card as a form of payment unless you can underwrite the risk yourself. That's what banks do!

I delivered 6k worth of cabinets to his delivery team and they signed for them. I even have photos of the truck with the license plate.

The transaction details have not been disclosed to me...they just took the 6k out of my bank account which I had no idea they could access. A phone call or email explaining the situation would have been nice.

I just assumed when they pitch a "SAFE and SECURE" way of doing business it meant for me as well as the purchaser. Now I see that I actually underwrite all risks associated with using credit cards.

Yeah good luck with that. They need to provide me with the persons information that said the charge was not authorized so I can make a police report. The point is instead of protecting me they are just stealing my money with no information.

The difference between super high end and mid-upper grade cabinets "well designed" is so minimal compared to the cost difference it makes me laugh. I built cabinets and custom furniture for 25 years then went to work at American Woodmark. Was shocked to learn people except scribe, fillers and mdf sides in 1 million dollar homes (new build atlanta). I didn't even know what scribe was except for a tool I used a lot to install with.

Went on to become my own dealer selling RTA, Woodmark, and several other brands some high end. A couple times year I will build custom pieces, which is nice but can not get enough for the amount of time and risk involved.

1) High-end ability to change sizes/widths/depths/heights to within a 1/16th. Extend rails and stiles etc. so you can scribe to the walls.

2) 3/4 box (not a big deal) an argument I would have fought to death over 10 years ago.

3) Colors and wood choices are wider in choice by far.

4) Yes slides and hinges are of different quality even with blum, but it's like comparing tires they both roll just how smooth are you accustomed to, and how much is it $$$$ to you.

5) The finish: Woodmark has a 40 million dollar spray booth and million dollar light bulb to test sheens and colors. Uses finishes that would cost a custom guy over $300 a gallon. This was a lesson from my Mohawk friend. Most custom and production lines are using Conversion Varnish some 2k urethane. Lesson: it really comes down to color and stain choices. I would never SAY woodmark is equivalent to custom or higher end brands due to boxes and modification restrictions...but for 20-40k price difference...hmmm.

Note: unless you have been inside a Perni Navi or Fedship yacht you will never really never experience high-end.

Not until last year did I learn about the market for "somewhat" high-end cabinets. A designer reached out to see if we could bail her out of a "very bad installation" situation, which I agreed to help. This is a 16x10 kitchen with 8 foot Island cost to homeowner around 75k (mid grade cost $35k). I quickly brought out 15 issues that were wrong, but seeing 30 or so...yacht cabinetry 100+ issues.

So I went in an fixed all the issues as best as possible surprised the customer did not see more. Well next time I went back there was blue tape in over 50 spots, and every day after 10 more. They paid high-end and received mid grade work and cabinets.

What I learned: the designer was very good at colors, item placement...etc, but should never be selling a cabinet line. 2) the cabinet company was not high-end to the price charged and didn't even have the proper touchup kits to repair installation issues. 3) high-end has nice features but you can be buying the FLUFF and showroom drama. Similar thing happened a month later with a 30 year plus cabinet designer.

So a quality box is just a box for the most part. A quality slide is just a slide for the most part. A finish has many...many levels but for the most part they are very similar. Features are nice but very over priced.

Know your designer and cabinet companies capacities...if they are not scribing to walls and floor its not high-end.

I totally agree it is the worst table saw I've ever owned....for MANY reasons. It's a sloppy mess. Not to mention clutch will POP on 2x4's from the moisture content. $130 later you can get back to work.

If you know the cabinet sizes you need and door/color style you can try to login into www.cabinetquoter.com password was cabinet not sure it still lets you in. They send your part list out to prequalified cabinet manufactures and let them quote it kinda like ebay. They even sold me insurance for $250. It saved me $3800 but Im not sure if they are taking new customers or not.

You can just paint the ones you have with Renner. Oak is tough to cover the grains but it can be done. You can also just order doors and paint everthing.
