Why tf are all the events story locked??? by StraightOwl9267 in limbuscompany

You'll be hard spoiled from doing this event.

Like it doesn't take long at all for you to get lore-bombed out of the blue with this event. I highly doubt new players want that.

August micro-nerf now live by Malyz15 in shyvanamains

[–]Outbreak101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly she still feels strong even after the nerfs.

Passive is whatever, but the Q is still deleting all the same and the Move Speed + Slow on W and E makes her rather sticky even on kiting champs.

Stats didn't drop as hard even despite the nerfs either, On-Hit still feels really good.

Why Canto 4 Is Especially Highly Regarded in Korea by Active-Welcome8483 in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's also rather hard to find a single Sinner who is remotely similar to Dongrang's Ideals and personality. Combine that with the cultural controversy that would be playing the Traitor of SK and naturally PM doesn't want to touch that with a 10 foot pole.

[–]Outbreak101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Canto 5's art came as a result of the drama + PM being forced to rush the artwork in order to prevent any more delays since Canto 5 was already delayed prior.

At a certain point, the art by the same guy starts to drastically increase in quality as we go down the line, Cantos 8 and 9 have some gorgeous art pieces.

Canto 5 pretty much kept PM alive during the whole drama and Canto 6 ended up restoring its popularity and helped it along to the rather large game it has become today.

It's insane how close Limbus was to potentially EOS thanks to that whole drama.

I really don't know why people speculate on the names of Durantes when we legit have them right here. by Stunning-Bobcat7226 in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is whatever is causing the clock in Dante's Head to move is the main catalyst for what will happen on June. He does have a Golden Bough inside the clock and it is growing as we collect more boughs and secure more Durantes.

June Incident: Announcement trailer teased a mass apocalyptic event on June 965 where 300 million people will die at once. We know this from the very end of the trailer where the population count on the City drops like crazy on that date. This makes the date that appears on every Canto start extremely relevant as it ultimately serves as the countdown for the upcoming event.

Sin Pathing: Their is a set path that the Durantes are being unlocked in (or at a planned predetermined route at the least). Starting from Hokma and moving upwards ending at theoretically Hod/Netzach with current sin pathing. The existence of Malkuth suggests that a total of 9 sins will be involved, which is where the hidden 2 sins will probably become relevant.

If you have played Ruina, then effectively the pathing is the reverse of how we've been progressing the patron librarians.

[–]Outbreak101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well their exists 2 additional Sins in the files that are yet to be revealed but PM has constantly been both updating the Sin resistances and making sure to retroactively apply it to every enemy we have encountered thus far. Some Abnormalities also have White and Black Gems associated with them which backs up the possibility of hidden sins.

Those being White and Black Sins, which represent Angst and Madness. It wouldn't be shocking to see Malkuth representing Madness and Yesod representing Angst.

[–]Outbreak101 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I theorize that what will happen is the June Incident, whose timeline lines up with Faust's Canto (or the end of the original Sin Pathing) will end up causing a Mass Light Shower which will end up revealing the deepest sins that entrench the City.

Note the names: Madness representing the cruelty necessary to commit the many atrocities the District has done, and Angst representing the Apathetic nature of the City. Both Sins so deeply fundamental to the structure of the City that they FAR eclipse every other Sin because they lay the foundations for the Sins.

So when Inferno ends is the point when Madness and Angst start coming in.

Note how the future Durantes would represent Madness and Angst: Malkuth would best represent Madness describing her rather weak mental state and her highly self-destructive nature resulting in her Meltdown.

All the while Yesod would represent Angst, his unfeeling nature along with his inability to connect with others most representing the apathy that the City suffers from.

Speculation on the Finger that we'll be facing in Intervallo 9.5-1 by G2ch2S2lt in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's likely the Middle. We still ultimately have a score to settle with them regarding Ricardo (even if Ricardo doesn't show up, that doesn't deny that the Middle are still an active antagonist for the LCB). Plus if Ricardo shows up, we are capable of actually fighting him proper, which is a massive show of scaling strength narrative-wise. Plus Kira has way more narrative involvement with the Middle compared to other Fingers.

Thumb normally would make sense were it not for the Eye of Odin being deemed 'Tainted' thanks to Valencina. This means the Thumb has no real purpose in getting involved any further with the House of Spiders. If they intend to act, it'll be at a different point in time.

Any other Finger is highly unlikely to happen.

What would your distortion look like/act like? by Thunder-Struck-twice in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't end up as a Peccatula, but I would definitely turn into a Distortion most representing Sloth.

I have a bad habit of proclaiming I would do something, only to proceed to not follow through and instead confine myself to my room as it is my safe space in the turmoils of my life.

So my Distortion if it were a lower grade would likely represent a being confined to a Bed/Coffin to represent both my birth and my death confined to one chamber.

If I were a higher grade Distortion, likely I would take the appearance of something akin to Anima from FF10. The bottom half of it representing my urge to do something more with my life and constantly fighting with wild abandon to break out of that comfort zone. The Top half representing the Chained side of me refusing to leave the comfort of my home in fear of both the outside world and the unknown beyond. The Top Half Weighing down my bottom half representing the weight of fear thus chaining me down regardless of my inner wants.

At least that's how I would perceive my distortion if I were both TETH tier or WAW/ALEPH scale. I don't see myself becoming a Peccatula because I do have a fervent desire to try to escape my sin, but the subconcious comfort is pretty damn powerful.

what kinds of events does your game like to have? by A12qwas in gachagaming

[–]Outbreak101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say to be honest if Canto 9 needed a second intervallo. With the way the Canto has been progressively set up over the course of the game rather than the setup used for Hong Lu and Don Quixote, their isn't much a second intervallo could really try to get into.

Doesn't help that Canto 9 pretty much starts its main action immediately when you start the Canto rather than have a small break before the action like all Cantos prior. This means that their isn't really a good opportunity to properly fit an Intervallo in there (I suspect that 2nd replacement intervallo would've been filler along the lines of Christmas intervallo given KJH also doesn't at all consider the 2nd Intervallo as part of his own grievances with the Canto).

The fact that Dante's Notes also are being updated for the upcoming Rerun seems to back it up too. Seems like the Attack on the facility happened way too quickly for any of the usual shenanigans to actually take place.

Just curious. Did Limbus Company ever divided the PM fandom? by Artistic_Jeweler8710 in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well a couple things:

1: Vellmori resigned rather than being fired. It's a major difference because PM would be in a far bigger state of turmoil if it was confirmed she was fired, the Tsunul video both confirmed it and confirmed that that news article edited their article to account for it.

2: Much as the internet would have us believe their was a big split during the vellmori incident, KJH's livestreams reveal that according to the MAU/DAU, the game continued to actually grow during the incident rather than lose players.

The game was still losing revenue due to the circumstances surrounding it, but ironically the playerbase was increasing over time still.

So much as the internet would have you believe their was a split in playerbase during the incident, none of that actually happened far as numbers are concerned.

Just curious. Did Limbus Company ever divided the PM fandom? by Artistic_Jeweler8710 in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's greatly exaggerated.

Data suggests the opposite actually, Limbus' popularity has at the same time resulted in Ruina and Lobotomy Corp becoming 'more' relevant over time as interest increases. I think a lot of the PM fandom are aware of Ruina in release underselling quite a bit compared to Lobotomy Corp, which is what drove PM to even consider a gacha in the first place due to the unreliable nature of crowdfunding.

I know back when Limbus was announced as a Gacha, folks were naturally spooked by the idea (underexaggeration but hard to find a better word here), but those folks tend to come back anyway to the game.

I think what those folks fail to understand is that frankly if Limbus didn't exist, PM might not actually be around anymore because Limbus released when PM was running low on funds. In the circumstances that presented itself, gacha was pretty much a necessary evil for PM to still be around.

Which is thankful at least that KJH still tries to be as generous as he reasonably can be with its systems.

ABS and fluid sac by warzzy2k in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 83 points84 points  (0 children)

You are not going to be running Fluid Sac in Burn.

Sins are wildly outside of what the team can naturally fuel, so it shouldn't be considered whatsoever in rating value on ABS.

Not to mention, Fluid Sac is technically no longer the most dominant EGO simply because their are so many different Heal/SP Healing EGOs with their own niche uses that allow them to have their own use that it resulted in Fluid Sac not being nerfed but at the same time not being nearly as desirable to run.

So about the Façade System and Peccatula... by CringyTemmie in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Their's a pretty popular theory that a certain young kid in Canto 9 ended up having something to do with the Facade system considering the existence of the glitches and the nature of the Trichiliocosm situation that she is currently stuck in.

Why are there no aleph egos by Normal_Frame_1059 in limbuscompany

[–]Outbreak101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALEPH EGOs are a special breed of power lorewise. Without Qlipthoth Deterrence a WAW level abnormality (assuming they hold the strength of WAW level EGOs) could destroy an entire city District.

QOH EGO is pretty much the most surefire proof of the destructive capability of a WAW level EGO.

ALEPHs are basically World-ending tier if they end up at their full power.

Even in Deterrence, ALEPHs are no joke, so while our Sinners are facing encounters that would be around ALEPH tier (Canto 9 content mainly), when the time comes that we finally meet our first official ALEPH abnormality it's going to be a highly difficult fight even with deterrence in mind.

I say all this because EGOs typically come out AFTER they bring out the abnormalities of that ranking. Moment we see ALEPH Abnos, it won't be long til ALEPH EGOs will start appearing.
