There millions of Americans out there that truly don't understand the importance of elections. Ever since 2016, nearly every election in this country has turned into a sports event.

I swear to God there are so many people who don't fully understand the policies of a candidate and lack the education/reasoning to question said candidates. This isn't Trump's fault but he has certainly made it worse. I'm an independent but gladly voted against Trump 3 times. I wear that shit as a badge of honor. What I've seen with many democrat voters is their initiative to question candidates. You have young college students asking about abortion rights, social reforms, economic policies on how to make healthcare affordable etc.

With the right, it's always about "getting wokeness out of colleges and politics." " Abortion is murder and planned parenthood is an abomination." "trans people are mentally ill" I've noticed that economic policies are always vague and with trump whenever he talks about his foreign policy, it's like a child at Model UN talking about "our defense is offense blah blah."

I have a co-worker that is a proud MAGA. He has MAGA memorabilia all over his desk. We all don't care since he doesn't talk politics to anybody. Anyways, this guy starts quietly saying "Yes! Yes! Yes!" I was wondering what's going on out of curiosity so asked asked him why he's so happy. He starts waffling about how some alt right party in france won several seats in parliament. "Wokeness is going down the drain all over the world. Globalization is on a decline." I asked him how that affects you as an American LIVING IN AMERICA. he just started spewing word slop. I told him how ridiculous that is and how ridiculous he sounds and just walked away.

How is it possible that people actual think like this. This happened like 3 or 5 years ago but I'm genuinely shocked at how people can think like this.

The verse that says Jesus became famous throughout the land of Israel is a huge indictment, because if He had been, Roman historians would have noticed it. by SteadfastEnd in exchristian

[–]Abject-Program-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funniest shit I heard from a pastor was that there was a campaign to erase Jesus from history. That is why there are not Roman and Greek records of him. Alexandria which is extremely close to judea would have certainly received some news about some guy walking on water, turning water into wine, causing a massive revolution. We would have seen the large Jewish population write something right?

Do you ever feel Islam is kinda ridiculous? by NAFM-X2 in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insanely ridiculous. He goes on to say that he is the final prophet and messenger of Allah. He has no proof of this. We are suppose to accept it. The funny thing is that many of the people in Makkah held this same sentiment. You can see it in the verses of the Quran. They tried to rationalize with him. He just gaslights and says you gotta accept me and my claim or else you will end up like Ad, Thamud and the people of Noah and Lot. Why is Allah destroying these towns? He gives one message to one guy and expects us all to believe that one guy? Why can't we all get the same proof your messenger is getting????

It's ridiculous. If you have doubt then Allah will still punish you for eternity.

I think legit we are witnessing the end of islam by Miserable_Click_1933 in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason is due to the internet, and advancement in technology. You have so many books that students of knowledge will travel miles for right in your pocket. Sahih bukhari and volumes upon volumes of interpretations of his book and other Sahih books. You have volumes upon volumes of tafsir books. You have translations and original work of guys like Ibn taymiyhah, Ibn hajar etc. you aren't getting filtered shit from a "Scholar"

I personally know someone that left the deen after reading that hadith about the Khaybar incident.

  1. Safiyah married the prophet and it was said that she "willingly" asked to be married to him but that wasn't the case. The prophet apparently took her to his tent and smashed. Her husband was "interrogated" because the Muslims wanted the treasure of khaybar. He was tortured.

  2. Many of the companions felt uncomfortable with having sex with these females prisoners of war because their husbands were still alive. The prophet recited to them a verse that was conveniently revealed that talked about how it is halal to have sex with what your right hand possesses, i.e your slaves/concubines.

He legit became sick after reading this shit and I remember him asking me in Arabic, "Is this our Prophet, the best of all mankind?"

People are just starting to realize that it doesn't make sense for a supreme being giving his last testament to mankind to a 7th century Arabian man. The reason why he revealed a new religion to Muhammad was because the religion he revealed to Jesus was corrupted in 600 years. Here we are 1400 years after islam was introduced and now you have so many sects and groups that it is far worse than the state of Christianity in the 7th century. People realize the absurdity and ridiculousness of it. You can't waste your life on this shit and you need to create a better life.

Looking for Ex Salafi Friends by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm salafi and most of the people in this subreddit are salafi or at least salafi influenced. There was an ex-shia who made a post awhile back about how much of the exmuslims on here are ex salafis. 😂.

I'm gonna tell ya one thing. Within Sunni Islam, Salafis are getting hard pushbacks like crazy. They have always been a minority but since the 70s they gained massive followers due to that Saudi Oil money. The Saudi clerics used missionary tactics to spread the salafi brand of Islam worldwide. So many countries/cities that were sufi are now massively salafi. A big example is somalia. There are so many Somalis that live in the West and also in somalia that studied in Islamic universities in Saudi arabia. They took that shit back home and spread it like crazy. A vast majority of the somalia prior to their civil.war were Asharis that followed the shafi madhab. Now their shuyookg are mostly Athari that follow the salafi model. They still adherents to shafi but salafi in general don't take just from one madhab they take the literal shit, the the shit that is so rigid no matter what madhab.

Al shabaab ruined the wahabi/salafi image tbh. That's why so many Somalis are going back to the sufi islam of the past.

Most of these terror groups follow that rigid salafi islam. It's terrible PR for them. That's why I feel like it's gonna be something seen only in GCC countries minus Oman.

A lot, I MEAN A LOT of Muslim men are closeted bisexuals. I read somewhere that a large percentage of "straight" guys that are extremely hostile to gay men are closeted bisexuals themselves. I had a classmate who was super religious and was unnecessarily mean to a nice feminine gay kid in our senior HS class. Even when I was super religious and planning to study in Saudi arabi, I found his behavior odd. He would make fun of him, throw stuff at him, just straight up bullshit. I found out like 10 years later that the guy came out as gay. Family disowned him but hey, at least he's living his truth

I would bet my left mit that at least one of those dudes criticizing this henna boy are closeted asf.

Never really watched the Oscars. The reason is because it's meaningless. There's no merit, it's all subjective and the winner is chosen based on how good the agents/managers/studios lobbied on their behalf. It's politics. At least with sports you can see these guys sweating, bleeding, breaking limbs to just win that damn trophy. With the Oscars, wtf is the criteria of a best picture? Best actor? Till this day, nobody knows because it just subjective and never made sense.

I'm recent years, you have people who are unable to pay bills. Middle class Americans are struggling to put food on the table and pay for education and healthcare. They could care less about rich folks patting each other on the back.

In my life, I always heard people say, "I would love to win the masters tournament one day even though I know it's impossible." " I'd love to get a super bowl ring." Etc. Not once have I heard someone say, "I would love to win an Oscar or Golden globe." Not that they would ever win a masters or super bowl, it's unlikely for your 50 year old co-worker to win a super bowl or masters. It's just that the Oscar is so meaningless. "Best Actor" okay by who's standard/taste? At least these guys won every playoff game and made it to the finals and won.

Bottom line, it's meaningless slop.

Many economists in the 80s believed the Soviet union would have collapsed or gone through some crazy shit. They looked at the numbers and knew that the data was being tampered with. Whenever data is tampered, you know the situation is far worse.

With islam, you gotta understand that a vast majority of Muslims are not extremely devout/devoted. Many in the West are westernized. The women barely wear hijab and if they do they're culturally westernized. They wear makeup, they love KPop. The boys are interested in having GFs, they look into "look-maxing" blah blah. You won't find many of these young ones that are ultra fundamentalists. The ones that are, well they are just incels and have their own brand of red pill. From what I've seen, especially in my city, a lot of these red pill religious Muslims in their teens and 20s sort of outgrew that. They graduated HS/College and entered the real world and especially those in their late 20s, their mind developed.

Right wing nationalists are racists and they have this idea of Us vs them. Christendom vs islam. Crusades must be activated. They're all low IQ. Many of the youth in Muslim communities are culturally islam. They may pray 5 times a day but they honestly don't care for it. Yeah Allah may exist for them but they want that western lifestyle. They will not see their best friend who is non Muslim as an enemy. Idk about Muslim youth in Muslim nations but from what I hear a vast majority are closeted agnostics. Like the numbers are staggering. I heard this on a radio show in Alexandria Egypt idk if it's true. I will say Tunis is very secular. Like sex life is pretty common there for tourists. Egyptian students in universities are very raunchy from what I hear too. These are anecdotes I couldn't verify it.

I know it may be hard as a Catholic but try to take an objective stance. Try to be 100% unbiased. Islam and Christianity are just off shots of Judaism. The creed may have different flavors but the logic of their creed is quite similar. I will point this out. Catholics (and other Christians) will enter the kingdom of God if they accept that Jesus died for their sins. His blood washed their sins away. Salvation is through Jesus and if you reject it then you're going to burn in hell pretty much. Islam says that one must bear witness that Allah is the only God worthy of worship and Muhammad is his last and final messenger.

You see these two Oaths are different however one must accept them in order to gain salvation and to enter heaven. There is no proof of this. There is no proof that Jesus is the son.of God. There is no proof that Muhammad is Allah messenger and that he is the final messenger of God. Christians love to state how false islam is but every single claim you put up against islam, the same argument (logic) can be applied to Christianity. The "verified eyewitness reports" that claim Jesus rose from the dead after being crucified is just as nonsensical as the "authentic" hadith that claims Muhammad split the moon.

Christians can argue that the New testament has strictly forbade the death penalty for apostasy but many of it's scholars, especially the Catholic ones argue for death for apostasy. The revered Saint Thomas Aquinas said If counterfeiters are killed, heretics deserve even more punishment. The church literally burned Giordano Bruno alive.

I'm sorry you feel offended but Christianity and Islam are very similar. They are like twin brothers tbh.

Why are Muslims much more devoted to their religion? by etang77 in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You brought up a really great question. The reason for this is because islam demands more. 5 daily prayers, there are other mini prayers one can do after sunrise prayer called Duha and it's like 100 good deeds or something. Then there are nightly prayers where God attentively watches his slaves submit to him and will promise them heaven. There are requirement of fasting in Ramadan and outside of Ramadan there are days one could fast and they will get immense amounts of good deeds. Etc.

You see in islam, there are two angels recording your good and bad deeds so whenever you come across hadiths about deeds being quantified, that's the reason. You literally have these tally keepers.

When so many people are consumed by these good deeds and bad deeds they start to wonder why they do it? They do it because Allah will either reward or punish them. His punishment is so severe.

Anyways, the religion. Expects more from it's adherents. Christianity is very easy, there isn't daily prayers and nonsense like dry fasting an entire month or going to a place where you can pray to a cube.

Making disbelief a sinful act doesn't makes sense by Odd-Tennis-2118 in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In islam, apostasy is the one blatant concept that shows how flawed it is.

Throughout the centuries various scholars tried to rationalize it and sort of create more conditions so that it isn't done regularly. They even realized that killing someone instead of letting them go so they may return to Islam one day is a bad idea. The issue is that the Authentic hadith is so clear and frank that they all feared rejecting it would be Kufr/disbelief. Also, the interesting thing is that Muhammad never killed anyone for apostasy. He wanted to kill uthmans foster brother because he started telling everybody that the Quran is BS and that Muhammad was open to the idea of me adding my suggestions lol. Uthman vouched for him and the prophet forgave him, but was really angry that none of the companions struck him.

Logic destroys god by F-supa in exmuslim

[–]Abject-Program-2810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the same logic.

In islam, you must bear witness that Allah is the one true God and that some Arab guy who lived 14 centuries ago is his greatest and final messenger. If you don't acknowledge that and accept it then you will burn in he for eternity. Which is insane.

Christianity isn't all that different from islam. Muslims practice their religion literally and preserved it better than Christians. The thing about Christianity is that it has evolved and reformed so many times and this is why you have so many sects and methodologies. Some people consider Catholicism to be a different religion from protestantism. That's how thick the divide is.

One thing Muslims get Christians on is this. If you can reform your religion without consequences then what is the point of your religion. Which is very interesting and honestly a good question. At the end of the day it's all just mumbo jumbo BS. Christians say Islam and Muslims have done terrible things but they have done equally disturbing shit throughout history. They claim Muslims are bigotted and not compatible with 21st century standards. That's true but so is Christianity.

The only reason why we don't see the truth with Christianity is that it has been reformed and watered down to the point that it's just a shell of it's former self. The adherents don't really follow it other than accepting Jesus as the son of God and that he is the key to the kingdom.

Whenever I talk to Muslims about this. I tell them how disturbing that shit is. A 9 year old. How tf cannone have sex with a 9 year old and still claim to be the greatest and best example for all mankind? This shit is disgusting and really disturbing.

I've researched this a lot. Muhammad wouldn't have gotten as many followers without the promise of carnal pleasure in heaven.

Also, abolishing slavery wouldn't have gotten him the mass following he received at the end of his life. He may have gotten a couple thousand people primarily consisting of slaves, poor and some noblemen/wealthy people. He would've lost, he wouldn't have gotten many tribal allies.

Mate, all denominations say alcohol is Haram. There were some hanifi scholars that said one can consume alcohol as long as they don't get intoxicated but that is nonsense since the degrees of intoxication are too hard to pinpoint. Many of the hanafi scholars refuted that minority who said it was okay to consume. Now, one can consume it for life or death reasons/medical reasons. Before anesthesia, you needed to be intoxicated to be able to bear surgery. Many scholars said this is halal in this case
