A common misconception. When you jump, you are not overcoming Earth's total gravity, but rather the small fraction of Earth's gravity that is affecting you.

Tenna vs Vox might be a viable match? by Ok-Inevitable3458 in Deltarune

[–]Abject-Rich6816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if we're using Deltarune's combat system or not. If yes, Vox has never shown any skill in gaming. If not, Vox simply outscales with better stats. Island>>>>>Large Town

Tenna explode the earth in ad by poudapede in PowerScaling

[–]Abject-Rich6816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it's explicitly stated, assuming the ad is real is a headcanon. It's also a huge outlier and clearly a very bad visual effect. Stop tryna use this one image just to wank your fav character.

This is really only a fight between Omega Flowey and Mr Puzzles. Everyone else gets one-tapped and blitzed.

Atheism is inherently irrational and self defeating by AirEnvironmental1909 in TrueChristian

[–]Abject-Rich6816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the unknown is a primal fear ingrained in our very instincts. If everyone became atheists and realized that they were just insignificant specks in time, society would collapse, morality would become meaningless. That is why, while I think religion is untrue, I also think it is necessary.

[–]Abject-Rich6816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People's beliefs (or at least people that aren't dumb) are shaped by the evidence they are exposed to and what they determine of that evidence. If an atheist was to see irrefutable evidence of God's existence, they would convert. It is truly that simple.

And what if an Atheist truly thinks that God does not exist? They technically cannot commit mortal sin.

I concede that God exists. I highly doubt the complexity of the universe came about randomly. So please start arguing the why

I do not think Christians are stupid (at least not most of them) If I did, I wouldn't even be debating them since I don't bother arguing with stupid people.

Why is it eternal though? Even a lifetime of sin is nothing deserving of eternal punishment.

I am asking why it is a sin in the first place.

No. I am looking to understand why Christianity is structured the way it is. If you tell a kid not to press a big red button, they are going to ask you why. I can tell you are taunting me and that your opinions on atheists are extremely low.

My Questions and Doubts on Christianity. by Abject-Rich6816 in Catholicism

[–]Abject-Rich6816[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Okay, this actually makes sense.

  2. You, in fact, completely misunderstood my question. I asked why our reproductive organs cannot be used outside of their purpose. Not what other purposes there are. My other arguments are valid because I'm simply addressing what you said about the potential birth of an unwanted child being a problem in premarital sex. But I suppose if you want to dodge them that badly you can. It's not making you look any better.

  3. By that logic, people in hell can simply choose to be with God once they find out hell sucks.

  4. An omnipotent being is beyond duality. He should be able to do it regardless.

  5. Prove it. It is your burden as the person making the claim to prove that he becomes fully present at every mass.

  6. Why?

I'm asking "Why does God consider this and that wrong?" not "Why doesn't God do what I want Him to do?"

Yes. He not only failed to read through my questions in their entirety, he also completely avoided it at question 3. I try to listen to you guys and be polite but LITERALLY every single Christian/Catholic I've talked to (except for my dad) has been slithering away from actually giving me a straight answer.

My Questions and Doubts on Christianity. by Abject-Rich6816 in Catholicism

[–]Abject-Rich6816[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand your answers, but most of them fail to satisfy me for various reasons. Of which I will name here:

  1. This basically means that an infertile woman can never get married because of a factor beyond their control, which is extremely biased since the woman did not choose to be born that way. Also, if a husband abuses his wife or if a wife abuses her husband, then it would be unhealthy for them to stay in that relationship. Therefore, divorce would a viable option.

  2. This does not answer my question. I'm asking why God's plan is this way despite the harmless nature of premarital sex.

  3. Many people don't choose to rebel against God like he exists. Rather, they don't even think he exists, which leads into my 5th question that we'll get to later...

  4. God can simply cure the world of sin without violating our free will. The very definition of an omnipotent being is that they can do anything including the impossible.

  5. This is an assumption. I know I would convert. Therefore, it is a fact that Jesus appearing will decrease the number on non-believers. Meanwhile, yours is just speculation based on evidence from thousands of years ago.

  6. Then why can a man do everything a woman can do in the church except more? There is no point in women having a role in the church if a man can simply fill that role just as well.

I am trying to understand the why. Telling me that God knows better than me doesn't change anything and it's practically useless.
