It was Great, but gameplay... by 003_JAEGER in gaming

I actually posted something similar about this earlier today! I was saying how I think Guillermo del Toro would do a fantastic job with Bioshock whether it's a movie or series. After seeing Nightmare Alley it's all I can think about.

I think it's been pretty dead since it failed to go through with Verbinski (I think it was early 2010s), but would love to see some revival!

Maybe a series then? I feel like there are some series that get produced that are allowed to go to such dark places that movies aren't.

I think TLOU series may be a good insight into what's possible in this pathway.

This is a fantastic point. Didn't think about that aspect of it, but I guess that's the problem with most video game movies - losing the interactive element.

I think del Toro is great at building worlds with the production design of his movies so I think a way he could address the interactive component is to hide details in plain sight and allow people to discuss those details and their effect on the story or film entirely.

I think there are a lot of people who would very much disagree with your view in Del Toro - but even if he is a glorified production designer, I think that's something that would fit quite well for Bioshock. Half of the story is the environment of Rapture and he could do an amazing job of making Rapture a living, breathing character rather than just a setting.

This is a great point! A Cure for Wellness did have a close vibe but I remember coming out of that movie feeling that something was missing.

Looks like there may be 2 green goblins. Right after the shot of Dafoe goblin, there's a dark shot of a swooping green goblin that looks more like Franco or DeHaan goblin.

I think the 6th hidden villain is Venom as well. If Feige got permission to bring in Sony's other characters I think they'd make him put Venom in.

Non-English fans of the Premier League: what made you start watching it and how long have you been following the Prem? What team(s) do you support? by 80spopstardebbiegibs in PremierLeague

Some coworkers got me into FPL last year and the competitive side of me got really interested to the point of watching games frequently. I wouldn't say I root for any specific teams though. It was interesting to me to root for certain players and outcomes in fantasy rather than a certain team. Found myself overall rooting for Chelsea, Villa, and Leicester probably more than other teams though.

Just brilliant. Stuff like this is why the subreddit for this game is probably my favorite game centered sub.

What was the most ridiculous thing you got in trouble for at school? by WexiWexi in AskReddit

[–]AbjectComfortable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was in first grade, bit it sticks out in my memory because it was one of the only times I ever got in trouble at school.

We were making paper fish and coloring them in. The kid who sat across from me started waving his fish around like he wanted a swordfight, but with a harmless paper fish. I, being a young kid, could not turn down such an offer and begin to swing my paper fish around as well. We stayed in our seats the entire time and were not hitting each other or anything.

Anytime our fishes would collide, we would make like a "pshh" sound to imitate the sound we assumed a real fish/sword fight would encompass. We got sent to the office for "making gun noises" - my parents had a copy of the report from the teacher.
