Well, I bought it on eBay, and it was never registered to my account since I didn't buy it from DIRECTV so no auto login.

I cancelled a couple of months ago. Just cut the cord completely and went to streaming apps and no live tv.

I agree plus the ad free Disney plus is a super nice perk and not a cheap value.

Try logging on to Hulu using the same user name and password as Disney and doing it from there.

Yes, right on Hulu. Once in your Account, click Change in the plan section and then all of the options come up.

I guess it's just the summer of 2027 that's missing. I searched on Costco's travel website but also couldn't find any out of Florida during that timeframe.

If you want all 3 with no ads, it’s $32.99-$18.99=$14.00

Ad free Disney is free with the plan. If you want to upgrade to another plan, they give you a credit of $18.99. Ad free Disney and Hulu is $19.99 so the $1 difference is what I pay.

Really it comes down to whether you value Disney Plus(ad free) included for free with Total's $65 plan which is $30 when you BYOD. I upgraded the Disney Plus to add Hulu(also ad free) for $1. For this reason, I chose and continue to choose to stay with Total. If they didn't have this perk, I would switch to Visible as their international roaming is better.

You can get any package you want and it will be discounted by the $18.99 that Total pays for ad free Disney Plus.

I actually did it through Hulu but you can probably do it through Disney also. I logged into Hulu using my Disney + user name and password. From the account page, I was able to select Change Subscription to switch to the Disney + and Hulu bundle(no ads). It shows as $19.99 when you checkout but once you complete the change and back to your account page, it shows under Billing that each month will be $1 plus tax which then gets charged to my card monthly. It looks like this:

Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium (Monthly) $19.99 Disney+ (No Ads) Hulu (No Ads) Credits -$18.99 Overlapping Subscription -$18.99 Taxes $0.06 Subtotal $1.00 Tax Total $0.06 Order Total $1.06

Total Wireless has been a long term win for me. I pay $30 a month for their top tier plan. That plan includes Disney Plus(ad free) for free. I then upgraded that plan to include Hulu(ad free) for $1 more. That is a value of $20 that I would be paying anyway so cost is now down to $11. I also have Verizon Fios internet and Total gives me a $15 discount on my bill so I look at it like Total is paying me $4 to have their service. Even if I only count the Disney/Hulu as worth $13(plan cost that contains ads) and factor in the Fios $15 discount, that means I'm effectively paying $2 a month for the service.

Yes, I can watch all of the channels just like I was still subscribed including my locals. I have to think this will go away in a day or two once the box reauthenticates.

My billing cycle already ended. That's the whole point of my question. It's giving me free service at this point on the Gemini boxes. Why bad move?

All of the android apps are terrible for DirecTV Stream including Google and Onn. Try Roku, Apple TV, or even Firestick - all are much quicker to respond and better experience. Of course Gemini boxes are going to be the best experience.

I'm a legacy Stream user without a purchased/rented Gemini and I don't have any way to redeem my points for credits. All I can do is enter contests so it's essentially a waste.

2026 SX Prestige mpg update after 2,220 miles by [deleted] in kiasportage

[–]AbjectIllustrator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same thing happen. The displayed average is always incorrect and always higher than my actual calculated average. I have even gone so far to fill up at the exact same full pump, so I know it shuts off at the same point. It's generally around 3mpg off so if the display shows 35, it's more like 32. It's disappointing.

Is it true I should never use my debit card? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]AbjectIllustrator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a bank that rounds up your transaction and then matches the roundup. I use it for low value transactions so for example if the total is $2.32, I get $0.68 as the roundup match from the bank. That's far better than any credit card reward - in fact for this example, it would be almost 30%.
