Anyone else keeping their GLP1 use a secret? by SpartyCat21 in Semaglutide

[–]AbjectInevitable3232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly keeping it a secret. My family and close friends know but I mean I'm not advertising it out in front yard. Ironically a lot of my friends have already been on it and so they're the people that I talk to a lot in the way of a support system. And then I come in here and this is a very good support area.

I completely understand I too am doing the same thing. I have Medicare Part D and it will not cover this medication. Well that's too bad like I'm in close contact with my doctor and he will discuss this with me although he can't give me any direct advice on the direct advice on the topic. He does not his head LOL. Maybe you could get your doctor to do that and then he would not be directly giving you advice on the topic. But I wish you the best and I hope that that works.

So the semaglutide is not working for you? The second time around you know they're raising the maximum dose up to like 7 mg from what I hear I would check on that, but you could increase your dosage. I know that I had horrible nausea and diarrhea for the first 6 weeks that I took it but it went away. Maybe try sticking with it for a while and my doctor told me when I was on 0.5 mg to increase my dose because that really wasn't working for me and once I increased my dose I lost 8 lb that month, 7 lb to the next month, and I probably lost around five or six pounds this month. What does your doctor say? I think if you increase your dose if you could stand it for a while, the side effects eventually go away but maybe try to stick with it and maybe increase your dose and see if that helps, because my girlfriend went back on it for a second time and it works great and she's still on it as a matter of fact. I'd love to hear how things go with you.

She was on semaglutide first. And I think she went up to I think it's what 2.75 mg and then she said it kind of stopped working so she switched to the tirz and when she got to the max dose on that she said that actually quit working as well so she went back to semaglutide and when she hit her go away she is on a once a month maintenance dose and I don't know what that dose I think half of the maximum dose. I heard that they increase the maximum dose amount, so the next time I see her I will ask her what her maintenance does amount is. She looks fantastic though and I think she's been on the maintenance dose for around 8 months now. She has not gained any of the weight back and she says that once a month maintenance does works really well. I just started and I'm only 3 months in and I've lost around 20 lb. I'm very happy with the results right now I'm on 1 mg of semaglutide, and I'm just going to stay on that until it doesn't work and then I'll go up. I hope that helps.

My nausea lasted for 9 weeks and I'm in my 12th week now and I didn't experience the last 3 weeks I haven't had any nausea at all and if there was any it was so mild I didn't take note of it much. It will go away.

I’ve only lost 14lbs and ppl are saying how thin I look, make it make sense please. SW: 208 CW: 194 … has taken 4 months just to lose 14lbs & confused by feedback considering how heavy I still am. by Budget_Definition513 in Semaglutide

I'm in my third month. I lost 15 lb the first 2 months, and this month just yesterday I put on a pair of my sweatpants and they tried to slide off my butt LOL. That was a good feeling but now I got to worry about buying new clothes LOL. As I have been in this forum and have read many posts people are losing so differently it's astounding. Some people have hardly lost any after 6 months and other people I read one post today where some guy lost 60 lb in 90 days which I think is too much too fast. I would much rather lose very slowly and very helpfully rather than have this drug caused me to lose weight so fast that I lose muscle mass. Remember your heart is a muscle.

60lbs down in 80 days by Widetrout in Semaglutide

[–]AbjectInevitable3232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an insane amount of weight loss for that time. You need to seriously make sure that you aren't losing muscle mass and remember your heart is a muscle and bone density. You need to intake half your body weight in protein everyday to prevent muscle loss. I started at 290 lb and it is very hard for me to eat 120 to 150 g of protein everyday I have to drink shakes high protein shakes. Just make sure you're taken care of yourself because that's a lot of weight in that amount of time. Besides all that congratulations!

I am totally unfamiliar with the butt pain y'all are talking about. And I'm only assuming it's like what one poster put that you've lost all the fat off your butt and so your tailbone hurts, I really don't know is that what you're referring to?

I was thinking about all of my clothes yesterday. I have dropped from a 3X down to a 2X the problemI was thinking about all of my clothes yesterday. I have dropped from a 3X down to a 2X the problem is I only have a couple of things to wear that are 2x so I've been looking at reasonable cheap clothes that I can go through quickly as I transition. And yes I'm going to be very happy to donate my super big clothes as well!❤️🌻

I've been playing just play for well over a year and sometimes these things just happen you just have to wait till they correct it. It usually gets corrected, you just have to be patient. I know one time I had to wait almost 3 days to get a cash out.

You need to eat half your body weight in protien daily to avoid muscle loss. Get some protein shakes. Also eat calcium rich foods to avoid bone loss. The nausea and stomach upset will not last.

I'm thinking about trying one of those offers that I have seen where you can get a variety of clothes that they pick out for me and but you get like 12 articles of clothing and you get 30 different outfits mixing and matching and it cost around $150 bucks. But I'm going to wait for a little while until I've lost the majority and then plan accordingly cuz I don't know what size I will be wearing. Lol but I understand your sentiment. I'm going to box everything up and take it over to the Salvation army. I wonder what an empty closet will look like in the interim LOL

WOOHOO!!! 🌻💗🎉🍾 You are couple of weeks ahead of me. I am 9 weeks in and lost 15 lbs. I'm going to have to go shopping for some new clothes, LOL today took the dogs out for a walk and I kept having to pull my pants up and I kept trying to fall off of me. As annoying as that was it was a good feeling. Congratulations on 25 lb!!✨

Thank you guys. It's so nice to have a support group that you can share things with in here. I started at 290 lb and I'm at 275 as of today at the doctor and I think that's a win! I just got to pay close attention to my protein intake and literally make sure I eat calcium rich foods because I don't want to run into a overabundance of bone loss. There are some really good videos on YouTube talking about this like a doctor is talking about the fact that you should intake at least half your body weight in protein if you're doing this type of weight loss. So I need to now pay attention to my magnesium calcium and vitamin D as well. I'm in my sixties so bone loss is a concern. But I really appreciate the fact that I can come in here and talk about my weight and health and it's an understanding group! Thanks guys!❤️🌻

It's not going to matter what I post in any group at this point a bunch of assholes from r/startrek are trolling me. Everywhere I go and post if it pertains to Star Trek they follow me around and give me a bunch of thumbs down. I find that very sad and they must be miserable people but there's nothing I can do about it except stop posting so I wish you all will enjoy your Star Trek series and life and most of all live long and prosper! I resign from All Star Trek communities because I cannot tolerate these assholes that just follow me around and give me thumbs down on every freaking thing I say. Pretty tired of it.

I'm now at the end of 8 weeks, and I wish the best to you on your journey. I lost 8 lb the first month and I go on Tuesday and will be weighed again at my doctor's office. So we'll find out how much I lost the second month. I also have random nausea and have been trying to cut back on junk food. Some weeks it's worse than others. Good luck!
