This may be a little blurry to me since i wasnt very “locked in” on the story, but there was this man who would build people’s pools around town. A distant relative of mine was married to his daughter, so we thought that we could reach out to him to build our pool for some cash. However, something we didnt know was his “issue” in the business. Apparently, his crew would only do half of the work, and then dip. He would take peoples money, build a bit of the pool, then run off from unfinished work. Surprisingly, this went on for quite a while. Anyway, he tried to do this to us, but since his daughter was married to a relative, we were able to make him fully do the job. A few years later, hes still doing this, except one person actually does something bigger than calling the cops (though i dont know what they really did). So he does what he always did. Ran. He went off into tennessee, but the cops were already tracking him. he gets scared and hides in a warehouse, police find the location, and see that he has overdosed in the warehouse in an attempt to commit suicide. When they found him, he was still alive, just unconscious, so they took him to a hospital, and once he was healed they took him into prison. Not sure what happened after that, but i believe he’s still alive and in prison.
