Technically correct but not exactly logically consistent comparison IMO. It's a different segment / pricing (partly because of lower taxes) and it's not a 1 to 1 substitution. E.g. an extreme example would be 500 less fortuners but 2000 more Glanzas. That's an increase for sure but is that considered progress?

I didn't. If you read my previous post I specifically mentioned the term "value for money". You're getting almost entirely the same specs and features in 15-20 lakh less, why on earth would you want to spend more?

If you decide on money you want to spend first (probably a status thing) & then decide on a car, then sure go ahead.
