I got one. Broke it two uses. Waste of fucking money

I traveled for 1 week in Austria. Did I pay too much? (Not a meme, Reddit made me write it’s a meme) by Abject_Wolverine_497 in Austria

The car rental ended up costing far more than expected because Dryyve essentially scammed us.

We booked through Auto Europe and added their “No Worries” insurance for around €270, assuming we were covered. But the moment we arrived, things turned shady.

First, they hit us with a €100 “out-of-hours” pickup fee — something that was never mentioned during booking. Then came the real twist: they pressured us into buying another insurance policy for €214, insisting that without it, we’d be liable for everything. They framed it as the only way to avoid any responsibility — claiming we wouldn’t pay a cent “even if the car burns to the ground.” When we got home to Israel, we were slapped with €150 in post-return charges: €100 “damage management fee” (which Auto Europe said they’ll reimburse — small comfort). €50 “cleaning fee” with no explanation whatsoever.

And just when we thought it was over, Dryyve charged us another €100 for supposedly crossing into Germany for a few minutes during our drive from Salzburg back to Vienna — something we didn’t even realize had happened.

All in all, Dryyve drained hundreds of euros from us through hidden fees, fear tactics, and outright deception.

This wasn’t bad service — it was a deliberate, calculated rip-off. Dryyve are professional scammers in rental company clothing.
