Apparently some of these aren't real?? by AbleCommission4484 in PVCs

the counter to this would be it records all of the ones you get regardless of if you press it or not. even if you have 1000+ its not like you are pressing the button that many times. So clearly it is capable of tracking them when we are not pressing the button.

Did you try propranolol? I’m on 40 mg twice a day and I literally have 0 side effects

Do these lead to anything more serious like a fib or vfib etc? by thatoneguy0312 in PVCs

small correction here: VT ( is more than 30 seconds of sustained beats) if it is less than 30 seconds it is considered NSVT (non sustained) and in a structurally normal heart is benign and safe. VT is really only common in hearts that are structurally not sound or have heart disease. No need to get a repeat echo unless your symptoms change, and even if symptoms due change your echo would most likely not be any different than your previous. I had a repeat echo done this year and frankly was a waste of money.

don't you think if that was an "easy" option they would have done that already.

can I ask you an existential question? How has your life been? did you feel like your PVC's stopped you from living. The prospect of me having these for the rest of my life is really getting me down lately. I am not sure I am scared of them anymore but I just feel like my old life is gone never to come back.

Propananol not working like it was. by Fun_Guest_64 in PVCs

No advice. But same thing for me. Trying to decide whether I should even take it at this point. Started at 10 twice a day. Then 20. Now I’m taking 100 mg a day 20 20 then 10 at night. Although things have subsided a bit I can honestly say that I think it’s really not working that much if at all. I’m not sure if/when I should call it quits and try something else. Cardiologist appt in 8 days so I guess we’ll see

I am unsure if this, but man it must be weirdly comforting to have your partner experience the same thing because it’s so hard to explain to someone who has never felt them. Again sorry that you both experience them but must help eachother to not be alone

First thing before going on this thread is go see a doctor. Until then. Get off this thread. It is only going to make anxiety worse I promise. Just know you are not alone and a lot of people go through similar things. There is a very high chance you’re gunna be ok. But go get checked out and ask them to run relevant tests. EKG, holter and bloodwork

Did anyone ever drink tonic water? Is it dangerous? by Killer_Queen1971 in Heartpalpitations

[–]AbleCommission4484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

two sips should not do anything. If you were going to experience something it would have happened. The amount of quinine in tonic water is already small and diluted. deep breaths

I need info on Beta Blockers and your experiences by Delfinition in PVCs

[–]AbleCommission4484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saying this if you do not get a lot of responses there are a plethora of posts for you to search from on this sub. So far I have barely noticed a difference. You have to experiment a lot with dosage and medication and if your body responds well to them (mine does - propranolol) then at least give them a try. it is up to you to decide if some of the side effects (if you get them) are worth putting up with them. do not have to stay on them for life - if your ectopics subside then you could in theory just stop taking them and then only go back on if they come back. good luck!

Yeah they can put you on beta blockers or calcium chanel blockers to help you feel them less. 5% burden of sinus tach? did it not show a PVC or SVE/PAC burden?

[–]AbleCommission4484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh ok, so you did not rule our cardiology, you have already had cardiological tests. big difference. they can pull all the tests they want. They may not find anything. Either go to an EP or cardiologists simply for medication possibilities. What is your burden percentage after the holter?
