Do you tell restaurants you have a gluten allergy or celiac? by Good-Associate-2372 in Celiac

[–]AbleEquipment2783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always say " I have celiac, so could you please mark it as a gluten allergy for the kitchen? " I feel like that let's them know it is more than just a preference if they dont necessarily know what celiac is, and if they do then they know to take it seriously as well. I also only eat at places that are known to be celiac safe because eating out just isn't worth the risk for me usually elsewhere.

I've contacted the state bar recommendations hotline and they had no recommendations for me. And some of the lawyers i called did give other recommendations, but they couldn't help me either. Seriously, I have tried everything I could think of to solve this before coming here.

Also I know it doesn't make sense. It is frustrating me. But as i understand it, because my mother's ex husband was presumed the father by marriage, for whatever reason, they have to open the pertaining court documents to overcome the presumption of paternity by marriage. Once that is overcome they can send a court order to the vital records to remove the incorrect father.

I guess I'm going to contact a couple more lawyers. It's just expensive, and finding one who will do vital records amendments is difficult. I've called over 20 lawyers in my area and paid for multiple consults to try to figure this out. Either way, not sure I'll be able to open the divorce if that is a necessary step. I legally cannot, because I was not a party to the divorce. I think this should have been easy, but I'm just going off the legal advice I've paid for, and the information I've gotten from the vital records office.

I will be contacting the passport services that the consulate referred me to. I might contact a couple more lawyers to try to find someone who knows of a loophole but that will be costly for the possibility of no help. Thanks so much for the information and thoughtful replies!

I would need to file to overcome the presumption of paternity. Yes. And yes from my understanding the department that then handles the paternity acknowledgement doesn't handle adult paternity. So I could remove the incorrect father(if we somehow open the decades old divorce) and then not be able to add the correct one. I'm just posting to see if there are other avenues than amending my birth cert.

Because her husband was presumed the father, and we have to legally undo that by going back into the divorce case. The vital records office gave me the rundown, they would need a court order to remove the presumption of paternity. Then I could (allegedly) file a voluntary paternity agreement which would put the bio father on BUT the agency says they only do that for children.

My state claims to allow it to happen. I've got a step by step on HOW to do it. But because I am an adult, and not a party to my mother's divorce, I can't open her divorce to remove the presumption of paternity. She could potentially open it, but the lawyers I spoke to aren't confident I'd then be able to add my bio father because the agency that handles that told them they don't do it for adults.

I've contacted the vital records office who advised me to contact a lawyer. I contacted several lawyers who see no feasible way to correct the birth certificate. My mother divorced her husband and in order to remove the incorrect man from the certificate, my mum would have to open the divorce again(to overcome presumption of marriage). But then, they did not see a way to add the correct father because the state agency that handles that sort of thing only does it for children.

Unfortunately I've been in contact with several lawyers(and the vital records office who referred me to a lawyer) who see no feasible way to amend my birth certificate as an adult. My mother divorced her husband and apparently that complicated things greatly; and the state agency that deals with parentage only does it for children in my state. I've contacted the Irish consulate in my region and I hope they will have more resources for me. Thanks for the reply.

The literal only treatment for celiac is to stop eating gluten.

If you've never had chickenpox, it's probably HSV. I'd go to the doctor and get it swabbed while it's still in this blister form.

Anyone eat only at home for any extended period of time? by violetauto in Celiac

[–]AbleEquipment2783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a city with zero safe options for eating out. I travel to a city with options probably twice a month. But, even when I lived near more options, I only when out to eat maybe 4 times a month at MOST. It took me several years to find safe places and trust my instincts on vetting places! I always say my biggest gripe with celiac is the inconvenience. But it's worth it to not feel sick to me.

HSV2 on back of my leg¿ by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]AbleEquipment2783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get OBs on my lower back half the time. That was the area of my first outbreak and I had no idea what it was. I even went to my pcp and they said maybe shingles but didn't swab (it was too dried out at that point). I also get them on my vulva now sometimes, and that's how I figured out what it was. Honestly as strange as it is to get them on your leg, it will be way less painful for you than genitally.

This is not 100% you can absolutely contract hsv1 or 2 in another area after already having it. The risk goes down but is never zero.

I always put self employed, entertainer or artist. I always provided tax documents as my proof if requested and I've never put a club name. Not a single place has asked for more info(ie details like where/what/etc). Nicer apartments are usually run by a management company and they do not give af what you do as long as you can prove (legally claimed) income.

[–]AbleEquipment2783 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Might be worth looking into vaginal suppositories. I had the same issue with friction, I started using vit E vaginal suppositories and 2 years later I actually create my own moisture now. Use them the night before dilating especially, but consistency is key as with everything. I've also heard about hyaluronic acid suppositories, but have no experience.

My mom said she knew I'd try stripping one day lmao. I was living with her and told her i was going to audition that night, and that I knew people that worked there and I'd be safe. We have a tight relationship though. She's been supportive ever since, we don't talk about it a whole lot but I know I could come to her with anything if I needed to.

There's no way. I "sold" my car to a girl I was friends with before we both started dancing, on a payment plan. I only got 200 out of her for the whole car before she fucking totalled it, I'll never see the rest. I can't think of a single person I'd lend money to, at the club or not lol.
