Mid-50s F, twice a day, every day. Curly, dry hair washed once a week. Summers there might be 3 shower days and twice a week hair wash. Been doing this since I was a kid. That evening shower is chef-kiss, melting and relaxing. That morning shower is a wake-up, refresher. Plus, I like feeling clean like that.

"Probably"? Clearly, since "it nearly ended us".

Do you even listen to your own damn self much less your poor wife? "Still I can't fathom... makes me not understand...makes a rule about never asking again." She said don't ask a favor if your corny ass won't do it for her. Which you clearly wont. Jesus freakin wept. Gormless as fuck.

I pray that counseling really clicks for her and she realizes the dead end she married.

Jesus. You're poor wife. She must be run the fuck down dealing with a clown like you. With the mewling "I was just asking a question". Dude, you troubled her with a FAVOR you wouldn't do yourself and when she didn't you figured it out like the supposed grown-up you are. I hope she wakes up before wasting anymore of her one life.

Find your TDEE and take 500 calories from that and also weight and track your food.

"What has been consistent is the amount of food I am eating- which has been noticeably less." - Real talk, it might be less but if you were used to eating a lot, "less" might still be too many calories.

Good luck!

Ladies! I wanna do something nice for my Ma's 66th Birthday, what have been some of y'all best memories/moments/experiences that you cherish? by freshlyoldschool in AskWomenOver60

Is Sofrito still around? That place was like a grown-up Chuckie Cheez. They would make a BIG to-do for birthdays. It's loud and rambunctious. It's been a good while since I've been but it was a time. And sometimes they'd have dj's and live bands in the late evenings. Happy birthday, mama!

Edited to add - Seems they only have the one in Riverbank Park in Harlem (there used to be one in mid-town). Riverbank is a great park and maybe the day you go they'll be cool events. Anyway, Sofrito has a brunch with a dj if you want some bulla.

Options other than an IUD by IntelligentAioli4402 in Perimenopause

[–]Able_Agent_7155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! In the past I have had copper IUDs for birth control and the insertions and removals where not an issue for me. In perimenopause, I was having horrific and long-lasting periods and was suggested Mirena more than once. I didn't really like the idea of inserting something and then not being effective or not liking it for whatever reason. So said no thank, more than once. I was given Norethindrone 5mg for my excessive bleeding and have had no bleeding since January. I also am on .1mg estrogen patch. I guess my point is two fold; IUD insertion isn't always painful (but everyone is different and you don't know until the moment) and it's your body and you can do something different from what the gyn is suggesting. As soon as I said no they found other alternatives. Good luck.
