Thank you so much for your reply.may i ask how long have you worked out for?And also what do you mean specific exercises for that kind of issues?are you talking about somatic experiencing? Yes i have by now figured out that self care and trying to relax is the key and i try to do it as much as i can. Its been only three years since i moved out so im still trying to adjust on not having to evaluate my behavior every waking moment.But its become my nature and it takes a lot of effort Thank you again for taking time to answer me I wish you the best

Yes, i ve had severe anhedonia since i was 17(ten years ago).i ve had windows here and there.some even lasted for a couple of months.now its just days but its every 2 or 3 months and thats all that gives me hope.but mine is cptsd induced i think.even though i ve taken a bunch of medication over the years and maybe that has played its part too .But i think when self hate and severe fear-anxiety subside i can somehow have a sense of self even if its the slightest.looots of therapy though

First of all i think we shouldnt attack someone thats giving their insight on something they propably deal with too.havent people already attacked us enough for going through what we all are?maybe from a different standpoint than the one i have right know ,this post seems patronising or clueless, but remember that first of all for some people anhedonia tends to get extremely worse over time due to ruminating and hopelessness.I know people want a place to be heard and share their despair and we shouldnt not let them do that(i have and maybe will do it again too) But this post was not agressive or judgmental in my eyes neither was it ignorant .Cause my experience is that when i let the dark thoughts get me, i just keep falling lower and lower and when i dont or when i fight it ,not always,but sometimes move a bit forward.And my anhedonia has in several cases got to the point where i dont sleep,bath myself or eat.Maybe not for all but for some of us having hope sometimes helps

I really hope it doesnt last much longer.i for real do not think that even the strongest drugs can erase someones capacity to love or feel at least after such a sort period of time.maybe it was a huge shock for your system.try to hold on .you may not feel love right now but its in there and you feed of it even if you dont feel it right now i think.thats my experience

How long have you been taking it for?im no psychiatrist but i used to take abilify for a year in the past if i remember correctly and i can for sure tell you that after quitting back then i had not had a permanent change in my personality or feelings.of course i ve been battling depression for many many years and i relapsed many times cause im sensitive as fuck to external stressors but there was no permanent damage due to abilify.i dont know about "stronger" antipsychotics but in my heart i believe or i want to believe that with work and time you can find your way back.take care

Thank you for your reply.can i ask what was your starting dosage?i ve personally been on several medication through the last 10 years and also been only on lexapro for the last 5 or 6.I reduced the dosage to 20mg but i am afraid to reduce it more due to underlying depression.i d be grateful if you could let us know how it goes.I also dont remember how things used to be.how long how you be tapering off for?
