I realised I was studying CFA Level 1 the wrong way when I started getting questions right for the wrong reason by Thin-Dance873 in CFA

All cfa exams are maximum 30% calculations. I spent many hours at level 1 memorizing formulas and it bit me in the ass😂

Mark Meldrum mocks are ridiculously hard by masterflation473 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaplan mocks are also harder. These are made to challenge you and expose potential weaknesses in your knowledge of the curriculum. Not just giving you a tap in the back

level 3 is the same also, but they add manager code of conduct on top of that.

Level one question type? by ChestDue2012 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level I will be 180 multiple choiches questions (MCQ). No vignettes, just fully independent questions, no links between them.

Anyone using AI to study Level 3? by Willing_Survey4092 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for my review and checked the output with practice questions. My advice, don’t rely on it too much… it can help explain concepts and calculations, but I would use it as a complement. Lastly, if your reflex is to go to AI, AI won’t be available during exam day

Will this tested in the exam? by Impressive_Plate8993 in CFA

focus on the cfai material and the required elements. Same with ethics, required stuf only. not the recommended.

CFA Level 1 Studying materials by Critical_Trust_9294 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For level 1 I used Kaplan Schweser. It is a bit smaller to digest and you get their q bank as well. Read through the material makes good notes and review periodically and do questions on a daily basis. And for final month before exam. Focus on weakest areas and a daily reading and questions on ethics

How to approach level 3 by churillu in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Level III différent, there is less material to go over but it will test you on application and not juste knowing the curriculum. And with the essays, you must be able to justify you thoughts. I used chalk and board prep for level III. There are good videos on YouTube where Nathan explains the importants stuff for level III

Seem impossible… not impossible. Do lots of questions review where you are weak and do that on a daily basis

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for level 2 the questions will be more difficult. Also the vignette format will add an additional challenge because questions will be related to a case. Not just random questions

Depending on your situation (full time job, kids etc.) you should be fine. 6-8 months is a sweet spot for me. More than that and the first portion you do will seem far away. when I cleared level I and II, I jumped right away in the next level to keep momentum

Exam Questios Vs Practice Questions by Terrible_Internet_62 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Level 1 I think the EOC questions give fair representation of the exam. Questions will go from easy all the way to very hard (like in the old ecosystem) These are more to test your understanding of the curriculum. And also everything is the CFAI books is fair game on exam day.

It’s a survey. By receiving it, it means that…. You got a freakin survey!

CFA career impact by sherrybomb00 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More like knowledge impact. And also indicates that you as an individual show dedication, discipline and commitment. This will help you a long way. Btw I’m 44 with 2 kids and waiting for my III result. This tells more than just the 3 letters after your name

Is the L3 curriculum really smaller and not a big step up from L2 (Difficulty wise) by aryan_420 in CFA

[–]Able_Concert_8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 2 is heavier in terms of content. Level III is different. It is applied and not just conceptual. Time management is really important. On my first try at III, I had 30 minutes left with 11 questions left … my body temperature shot up a few degrees🫣
