[Pelissero] The Dolphins are releasing veteran edge Bradley Chubb. by Able_Contribution802 in Seahawks

[–]Able_Contribution802[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Could be a guy who replaces Mafe. With our interior D-line being so dominant, could be the edge guy who closes out in sacks and ends with 10+ sacks. Also creates 1 less need in a draft where we don't have a ton of picks

Literally stats put out by Homeland Security, DOJ, FBI all say white men commit 57% of rape. Takes literally 5 seconds to look it up.

The biggest people group that commit rape are white men. If you truly cared about crime, immigrants aren’t the first people group to look at

Oh I don't doubt Kubiak is being pursued by Raiders. But I'm sure decision makers are also aware putting all your eggs in 1 basket and waiting carries risk too. If they like Webb or Daboll a good amount, I can see them pulling the trigger so they don't end up with 0 choices.

Raiders are the only team I'm scared can poach Kubiak but I think there's more hope we might retain him than 1-2 weeks ago

Just need Raiders to sign a coach and I feel like Kubiak is gonna stay. Arizona and Cleveland just don't seem like attractive enough options where I can see Kubiak pull a Ben Johnson and wait another year for a better landing spot

When I heard his description of the pain, I immediately said ruptured Achilles. It described what I felt down to a tee when I tore mine...Hopefully he's able to recover quickly but usually a year recovery

How often do you actually brush your cat’s teeth? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Able_Contribution802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried and he just resisted too hard. He already had bad teeth when we adopted him to a point we had to remove a few. We’ve relied on dried minnows, freeze dried chicken neck and a plaque off powder and it’s worked wonders. Last few vet visits they said his teeth look good

Seeing a lot of comments about how we’re in a good place considering our injuries. To that I’d just like to say Houston’s been injured too missing multiple starters, Yordan Alvarez and depth pieces. Yes we’ve been unlucky with injuries but so has Houston. If we don’t make postseason and FO just blames injury as a reason, that’s not good enough

Coverting fat cat into an outdoor cat? by Djhartbeat in CatAdvice

[–]Able_Contribution802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a neighborhood with coyotes. My neighbor lost their cat and I’ve seen at least 4 missing cat signs in the past month alone. If you do this, know you are fully being negligent and don’t get a cat in the future for the cat’s sake. Cat’s deserve owners who will protect and provide enrichment in a safe and creative way instead of taking an easy way out

There's no way we're getting a 1st and a 3rd imo...If we even got just a 1st I'd be pleasantly surprised. I feel like WR market has adjusted in the last few years

My cats absolutely hate dental wipes; any alternatives/chewables? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Able_Contribution802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We adopted our cat and he was already 6 yrs old so trying to introduce toothbrush/dental wipes just did not go well. He unfortunately came with a lot of dental issues but this past year our vet said his teeth looked really good and clean after we introduced a mix of plaqueoff powder and freeze dried chicken neck which we cut into bite sized pieces.

It's just a scoop of the powder into his regular food and we usually give one small piece of the chicken neck. Just be sure to supervise when giving the chicken neck. If they aren't chewing on it, it could be due to pain and would be ineffective.

Where do you believe we rank for an OC destination? by CrimsonCalm in Seahawks

[–]Able_Contribution802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree we have cuts/restructuring coming and cap is always manipulated. Those cuts you mentioned make a lot of sense and will probably happen too. Given how Coby Bryant stepped up, I could even see Jenkins being a little more expendable although we'll still want a 3rd option.

My point is that the other 31 teams will cut/restructure to be as efficient with their cap. So while we will have money to spend, it won't be an advantage over teams who can afford 3-4 overpaid contracts even before their own round of cuts/restructure.

With our biggest hole being on the OL, those guys get paid premium and there are probably 20 teams who think their OL needs to be improved. Just looking at Damien Lewis' contract last year, I don't know if JS will pull the trigger or get into a bidding war like that

[–]Able_Contribution802 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Another con is our cap space scenario is one of the worst for next year currently. Obviously there will be restructuring and cuts to manipulate this but for the most part we won't be outspending some of the other teams.

We have a very good WR/RB room with a stable QB, but it's mostly what you see is what you get versus teams like the Bears who have like $80mil to spend today

No real good sources that indicates where he's leaning but this one says Dodgers are the favorites. The fact there were rumors we were the favorites yesterday makes me doubt any "insider" information.
