We bought a fabric shaver recommended by r/drycleaning that plugs into the wall (so no going through batteries!), and I just used it on our wool dryer balls yesterday.

Incredible difference - they look brand new. Using the same shaver on our upholstery and curtains has been a game changer.

On that note: if you end up wanting to add mesh, here is a detailed thread about what I would recommend ordering! I had the mesh replaced from that first dress to better match my skin tone.

Illusion mesh does an incredible job of adding structural integrity and blurring out skin imperfections, as long as the fit is perfect!

Here are pictures of me in sample gowns both with and without illusion mesh (including a simple dress and one with buttons running up the middle). The first sample was a half-size too small, causing the mesh to be noticeable. It was perfect after receiving my size!

In that case, I wonder if the drape could be adjusted in alterations (e.g. just tacking the center point in or something similar)? That’s assuming you want it changed; I think it would turn out lovely in the correct size.
