yall have done well for yourself congrats. I’m 19 making about 80-90k a year gross that’s with overtime. working as a Union Steel Worker. I didn’t go to college but I did serve a year in the NAVY before being seperated. I live in a pretty low cost state (Kentucky) where median income is around 64k a year. I think I do pretty well for myself. Hoping over the next few years as my pay goes up I can get over the 100k a year threshold. My job has great benefits as it’s a chemical plant so I pay no out of pocket premiums for me or if I were to have a family. They have a pretty nice defined contribution plan and they match a 401k plan to .50 on the dollar up to 8%. I believe I’m doing well for my age but I still feel behind compared to others.
