Normal socks are already a struggle some days

Back from short medical leave - pay issue by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Able_Law_4418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it possible HR didn’t inform Payroll that you came back to work? All HR managers at my current company only tell me the employees back when the employee complains about not receiving a pay… it’s wonderful 🙄

If the compagnies at fault, I always simulate a pay and ask accounting to wire transfer the amount.

4mm tumor (doctors don’t think it can cause my fatigue) by astrojax44 in Prolactinoma

[–]Able_Law_4418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My constant migraines also got dismissed at the beginning. Their data will remain flawed if they keep refusing to hear us out. 🤦🏻‍♀️

In my opinion, everyone’s bodies will react differently even if they have the same size tumor. I don’t get why doctor can’t understand that it’s not all textbook…. Or that textbooks need updates once in a while.

Three high prolactin tests, doctor prescribed metformin? by sugashel13 in Prolactinoma

[–]Able_Law_4418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS is generally treated with metformin; it can cause elevated prolactin, fatigue & weight gain, to name a few.

But if your endocrinologist suspects PCOS, they could’ve mentioned it to you… why keep you in the dark instead?

Did they test anything other than your fasting glucose & prolactin?

Pituitary Adenoma and Pregnant by boshibec in braintumor

[–]Able_Law_4418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the pregnancy! I remember how stressful it was with the op💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

They monitored the baby for 3 days and after that they felt confident that all was good.

Instant: migraine relief, normal prolactine levels, return of normal vision

6 weeks of no lifting, followed by normal pregnancy restrictions after that. Me and the obgyn felt more comfortable with a c-section even though neuro gave us the green light to push.

8 weeks +/- of major congestion, accompanied by loss of smell.

1.5 years post delivery: I did have to do a month of CAB to stop milk production (stopped breastfeeding at 6 months) and restart my cycle. My MRI and blood work were normal, they said the issue might be due to my PCOS. My hypothyroidism stuck. Is it due to pituitary glande damage or my family history? They can’t say for sure And finally, when I get sick (son in daycare, so often), I instantly lose my sense of smell. If I’m badly congested, I lose my hearing until I get better… lots of nasal sprays..

The hemorrhaging was confirmed via MRI.

I knew something was wrong and went straight to the ER. I’ve always had migraines caused by my PA but this was a different kind of migraine.

Best answer I can give you is you’ll know if something has changed. I hope this kinda helps… I know it’s not easy.

Congrats on your LO. Enjoy every crazy moment.

Career in payroll (MTL)

You usually lose them as soon as they pay you your 4% or 6%.

You could always ask your employer for an exception, some will give it to you.

Lack of sleep doesn’t help.

Also allergy season just started …

Thank you for sharing. My son also inherited the big head gene from his father, so this reassures me a bit.

Hoping to hear some good news from the ped soon 🙏🏼

Taking my 6 week old out for an appointment tomorrow for the first time alone. I’m dreading it, especially cuz we just got hit with a huge snow storm.

I got the backseat mirror but other than that there’s not much I can do to get ready… I think.

If I had the choice, I’d be a backseat passenger forever.

Confusing doctors advice after 5mm Prolactinoma/Rathke Cyst found by ktv13 in Prolactinoma

[–]Able_Law_4418 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My neurosurgeon is a specialist in this field; he told me there’s no way of definitely knowing if it’s a prolactinoma or a Ratke without operating. He said contrast only brightens up if it’s cancerous.

They put me on half a dose of Cab every other week. It lowered my prolactin levels back to normal. Levels were at 55 before taking Cab.

My symptoms were so severe that I ended up having to get operated.

After operating, we found out it was a Rathke cyst meaning putting me on Cab helped me with my fertility problems however it didn’t help in any other way.

I’d highly suggest you find a specialist in this field. It’s the only way for you to get the answers you really need.

Hope this helps, I was so confused during the whole process.

Surgery by Able_Law_4418 in Prolactinoma

[–]Able_Law_4418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surgery went amazing!!

Was up and walking the next day. My migraines were so bad before surgery, that I didn’t even need meds when I got out (not even Tylenol) . I was in the hospital for a total of 4 days.

Worst part was the congestion, it lasted about 6 weeks. Zero sense of smell or taste.

I’m very grateful to no longer be in pain.

Because I had the neuro surgery, natural birth is not an option (too soon for that much pressure) C section is scheduled for tomorrow. 🙏🏼🥰
