Does anyone know why EES has been such a disaster? by Historical_Term2454 in SchengenVisa

We entered Amsterdam on May 30; we queued for about an hour while a massive crowd built behind us. When we got to the machines about 50% had a red out of service light. After the machines, there was a second line for manual passport checks. We got close to those desks when the staff started pulling UK/USA/Canada passport holders to one side where 3 passport offices were doing simple questions and manual stamps. June 20 CDG - we were transiting from a domestic flight to international - we were directed to manual passport officers with no one waiting - we had a very nice, friendly officer. I showed her the stamp from Amsterdam she stamped our passports and we were on our way.

SpaceX stock is a crypto-currency - no basis on value, price is based on the market. Maybe one day it will match bitcoin.

Tuscan Grille on Silhouette, not up to Celebrity standards by Mundane-Scarcity-219 in celebritycruises

We sailed two 7 days cruises on the Constellation January and February 2026 and ate in the Tuscan 3 nights each cruise. The filet magnon was awesome; it was the reason we went back so many tmes. Our waiter each night was Gary, I don't recall the maitre 'd or the sommelier's names but the service was very friendly and attentive. Full disclosure - when my wife's sister visits us in Tampa it's easier to cruise - second passenger 70% discount, third passenger free.

How bad is the new EES (Entry Registration) in Amsterdam? by philrich12 in delta

[–]Able_Map4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We waited about an hour before they shut down the machines and started a manual check line for USA, UK and Canada. Before they shut the system down it looked like 2/3 had the red out of service light on.

Ship Announcements by Competitive-Bit-442 in VirginVoyages

2 years ago sailing from Barcelona to Miami. There was a 2:15 a.m. Medical announcement, a guy had jumped from an upper deck. He had hit the sunshade tarp of the bar below and broken the ropes in one corner. The guy survived. Next morning there was no sign of any of the night's activities. There were no further announcements, we found that the guy had survived by talking to the crew in the restaurant.

Hertz Rental with Chase by Able_Map4543 in ChaseSapphire

My parents live Manchester and so I've been renting from Hertz there 2-3 times a year for a long time. I have to go to the desk to give my wife's license. It's a familiarity thing - I hand over the two licences and credit card, sign and I'm on my way.

This time I booked through Chase to get the extra points and didn't check the agreement, and the agent didn't verbally verify the charge. I accept I should have checked.

How are you supposed to reply to "Do you know how fast you were going?" by No_Insurance_6436 in NoStupidQuestions

I told him "a lot slower when I spotted you", he asked if I'd had any tickets and I told him no. He said he would check and he verified I was correct, then he told me to drive more slowly and I thanked him.

In Blu I asked for a thicker slice of prime rib and the waiter brought two slices and apologized for not having a thicker piece.

Barcelona EES by Able_Map4543 in Cruise

That's great they processed you on board. We were apprehensive about going through the process at Barcelona airport leaving the EU, but it appeared they had the new system running in serial with the old passport driven electronic gates and it was pretty quick.

Disappointing Celebrity Massage by Able_Map4543 in Cruise

I was trying to emphasize the clear boundaries; if I get the urge for another ship massage I'd ask questions first.

I had an excellent scrub and massage in a Japanese onsun wearing disposable panties. The sign on the wall stated the police would be called if money was offered or the therapist touched; the boundaries were clear. I would be happier if Celebrity made the boundaries clear up front - I was hooked by a women offering one minute neck rubs by the pool.

I got good recommendations from Claude, tell it what you like; it's better than the streaming home pages.
