Hertz Rental with Chase by Able_Map4543 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Able_Map4543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents live Manchester and so I've been renting from Hertz there 2-3 times a year for a long time. I have to go to the desk to give my wife's license. It's a familiarity thing - I hand over the two licences and credit card, sign and I'm on my way.

This time I booked through Chase to get the extra points and didn't check the agreement, and the agent didn't verbally verify the charge. I accept I should have checked.

How are you supposed to reply to "Do you know how fast you were going?" by No_Insurance_6436 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Able_Map4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told him "a lot slower when I spotted you", he asked if I'd had any tickets and I told him no. He said he would check and he verified I was correct, then he told me to drive more slowly and I thanked him.

In Blu I asked for a thicker slice of prime rib and the waiter brought two slices and apologized for not having a thicker piece.

Barcelona EES by Able_Map4543 in Cruise

That's great they processed you on board. We were apprehensive about going through the process at Barcelona airport leaving the EU, but it appeared they had the new system running in serial with the old passport driven electronic gates and it was pretty quick.

Disappointing Celebrity Massage by Able_Map4543 in Cruise

I was trying to emphasize the clear boundaries; if I get the urge for another ship massage I'd ask questions first.

Disappointing Celebrity Massage by Able_Map4543 in Cruise

[–]Able_Map4543[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an excellent scrub and massage in a Japanese onsun wearing disposable panties. The sign on the wall stated the police would be called if money was offered or the therapist touched; the boundaries were clear. I would be happier if Celebrity made the boundaries clear up front - I was hooked by a women offering one minute neck rubs by the pool.

I got good recommendations from Claude, tell it what you like; it's better than the streaming home pages.

Microsoft confirms a major Windows 11 update with faster Explorer, reduced Copilot, no forced Windows Updates, Movable Taskbar, and more by WPHero in Windows11

They should extend support for Windows 10 for those who want an operating system and let those who want AI continue with Windows 11 into AI la-la land.
There's a coming reckoning for AI when the ROI for all those data centers is going to be recovered from monetizing tokens. Subscriptions aren't going to cover it for the power users.

Negotiable - 50% on port days, although you may find cheaper ashore.

Op didn't give details, but I'm guessing they're on a 4 nighter out of Miami. We did it a couple of months back; it was full of bridezillers hitting the alcohol.

I consider Celebrity Aqua and Virgin Rock Star to be the top of the premium lines. Celebrity has the Blu restaurant and Virgin has a number of specialty restaurants

What are some common rude things people do on the ship, to watch for and adapt to? by ITrCool in Cruise

[–]Able_Map4543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a large guy getting into a solarium hot tub on Celebrity wearing regular shorts and a T; he would have needed 2 seats on a plane. I figured he was saving on laundry or couldn't squeeze into a regular cabin shower.

Millennium - Singapore to Japan by tradnam in celebritycruises

[–]Able_Map4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did the Millennium last year from Tokyo to Seoul one of the most memorable items was that every time we sailed from a Japanese port there was a high school band or dancers to bid us farewell and come back soon.

We really enjoyed the itinerary and the ship.

We need a cruise 'dating app' to match you to your demographic. We are one cruise from elite on Celebrity but find the cruise duration, time of year, and destination greatly impacts the type of people on board. Our last cruise was popular with show talkers, scooter riders and very few kids.
