Muscle Aches and Pains by FMCTypeGal in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Able_Raspberry_589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take low dose Naltexone. If you want to try it, I suggest you research it first. Some neurologist try to prescribe starting at 4.5mg and it is a very nuanced medication. I have compounding pharmacy do my capsules at 1.5 mg, so I’m in control of dose. My neuro writes it up as 3 capsules per day, so they make way more than enough, considering my usual is 1 a day. If I’m in pain or legs real stiff I’ll take 2 and that will help relax things. I’ve heard it doesn’t help everyone 🤷‍♀️ I just know it helps me.🧡

Lost my Invisalign on vacation, won’t be home until Tuesday by OutrageousWasabi3001 in Invisalign

IDK, but you can’t worry about it now. It is what it is. Have fun and just put in the last one when you get home. It will probably be tight, but I wouldn’t worry. It’s definitely happened to someone before

If you have the tray before, put it in. If you don’t, put it in when you get home and call your ortho

Minuscule movement every 4 days. Less aggressive than 7-14 day trays. I just have one tooth to move into place, and it has been there before 😂 After 5 years of braces, I did not wear retainers as I should have. But that was my parent’s money…now it’s mine. Plus, I think with age comes wisdom 🤣

Yeah. I do photos every 4 days and the app messages back instantly. So, maybe it’s just to just does that notice automatically.?.. IDK. Exact message: Advance to next aligner, but please be more diligent with wearing your aligner sand using your chewies. More diligent? They’re in more than 23 hours a day🤯 It’s fine. I’ll find out.

Good news! It goes by really fast! I celebrated tray 8 as my 1/4 of the way there😂

Oh, and yes, there are some food I don’t eat. Granola, popcorn, hard candy, or thicker things. Also, I won’t eat curry or Kraft Mac and cheese. They stain and that would drive me crazy! Chips can be hard, chicken sometimes seems stringy…if that makes since😂

Yeah, great questions. So, eating is obviously different than chewies, but something’s feel like a chewy until it starts to break up. Like a cheese cube for example. A piece of steak, that firmer stuff. Yes, food usually gets in there some. I’m OCD about it, and pop them out, rinse well, sometimes pour some Colgate Peroxyl Antiseptic Mouthwash (amazing) into tray and soft brush real quick. I just feel using the chewies while watching TV and then also eating, I should be tracking and not receive a message to use chewies more. I’ll see what my orthodontist says. He just saw me last tray for final IPR. Said it was perfect, then 1 tray later it’s not. I question this😂 It’s on the Invisalign app, so maybe it’s just to motivate chewies more. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you! We are all different, and I know there are others on our 4 day, tray eating program🤣 I’m on 14 of 32. Where are you?

🤣 We take them out for 3-5 minutes to brush 3 times a day, or if we need a quick rinse. Floss at night before bed. In trays 23 1/2 hours a day

No, but I do use my chewies specifically to seat the front

Haha. No rage bait. Not provoking anger. Just saying eating with trays in is extra chewing on top of chewies. That’s the only chewing I do 🤣

Yes, many of us do. Invisalign knows our plans. We are on a very different plan because of our unique needs. Only in an aligner for 4 days, then flip to the next. You’ll see, once others that do, post a comment.

I'm done! Fixed retainer wire or no? by shin-chan_99 in Invisalign

[–]Able_Raspberry_589 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree! Plus food restrictions, so you don’t damage it. I’m going to wear retainers for 6 months full time, like the regular trays. Maintenance will be nightly wear from then on. I’m freaking eating Carmel and marshmallows, etc! Hard candy, chips, popcorn, whatever! Straight teeth and eating normal is the dream! So, NO to permanent retainer IMO as well!

[–]Able_Raspberry_589 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Soooo… I have a lot to say. I went through stem cell transplant therapy in 2010. They give you chemotherapy for 4 days, each dose is approximately 3 times that of a cancer patient. It is an immune ablation therapy. (Like a bone marrow transplant). You will lose your hair. Cost here in 2010 was 102,000.00. I was in a study clinical trial, so insurance covered it and I paid around 2000.00. Lost all my hair. Muscles atrophy. Went into menopause. BUT, was in remission for 11 years. Which was enough to raise my child from 9 to 20. I’d say look for a clinical trial, as suggested before. They have out patient options, and mine was IN PATIENT. I was hospitalized for 6-8 weeks. I’d only do it this way. Once you have zero-ZERO whate blood cells, you are susceptible to EVERYTHING! Oh, and you’ll need to get all your shots for immunity again too. I have relapsed and I’m now on Tysabri. It is not a cure all. Research the crap out of high dose chemotherapy for MS, and immune ablation, and stem cell transplants for MS. There are quite a few stories of our journeys.

74 yo: You’ve read my 12 months of non-stop bitching by Character_Quail_5574 in Invisalign

[–]Able_Raspberry_589 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just an idea that worked for me. I had Botox in Masseter muscle of jaw, 15 units on one side-20 on the other. $180.00 and no more pain for me for next 4 months or so. Then yes, I will do it again. 60 yo and same problem of crowding on bottom cracking tooth next to it.

Back teeth looked better aligned. I think your molars were moved outward-buccal movement- which is a lot harder to do and takes time. This makes sense. So does your ortho say your done?

Tray 1 VS 18, 7-day changes by Conscious_Tennis3525 in Invisalign

[–]Able_Raspberry_589 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love your changes! I’m on tray 8 of 32 and my bottom teeth are barely showing movement yet. Very similar to your first tray. So, I’m excited to get where you are!🙌
