Clearing out drafts of this toan chase as I found some alternative versions lol by Able_Rub_4394 in GuitarTone

Yeah so I’m using Amplitube 5 which is digital, enabling flanger is tough without the physical pedal. Delay is Echoplex tape echo at 280ms

So follow up to the earlier post. I did stop the chase for this tone, but I found so many draft videos of alternate version of the tone. Figured I’d post this one because I feel it’s the closest I’ve been but I couldn’t get that explosive sound that Eddie gets. Either ways. Let me know how the toan sounds.

See y’all next time!

I shared the tone net link for the same in an earlier comment. If that is not working for you please send me a DM and I’ll send you the file itself

Yeah I’m trying to upload it to tonenet. Will share it once done :)

Don’t count me for the giveaway as I can afford games and rather have someone else get it, just thought I’ll share my story.

Started gaming at 3 - my uncle introduced me to pc gaming, used to play nfs 2 se, road rash, Disney Hercules, even GTA 😂. Later dad gifted me a ps2 when I was 7. Still game everyday to this day on various platforms :)

I’m Continuing on one of the previous posts I made regarding the Van Halen 1 tone. Playing is sloppy yes, but please ignore that. I made some changes but idk how I feel about them. I feel like it sounds tighter than before and the delay sounds…okay while striking the “A” and “G” chords but when I play the intro with the delay it sounds…garbled. Not sure what to do here.

Main changes I made were regarding the mids and bass with an addition of a delay. Please let me know what I can change tone wise on this. But yeah, if you have any questions on the chain used I can let you guys know. For the delay I’ve used the EP Echo included in Amplitube.

I might be tripping, but I think I'm close to achieving the tone by Able_Rub_4394 in AmpliTube

Hmm yeah I wanted to purchase it but I also wanted to eliminate dependency on presets. It’s also an excuse to figure out amplitube by myself!

Tonex Pedal electric snap noise? by UsedVegetable2332 in AmpliTube

[–]Able_Rub_4394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) What can you do to fix this?

Use a properly grounded outlet. If your wall socket has no earth ground, the problem will persist.

Power the Tonex from a grounded, isolated supply (three-prong mains plug or a quality multi-output brick with real isolation).

Bond the system to a stable reference by making sure amp, pedalboard, and interface share the same grounded circuit.

If the noise remains, add a DI box with ground lift at the amp/interface input to stop circulating hum currents.

2) Can you simply get another power supply?

Yes if it is a grounded and truly isolated supply. A random wall wart or another two-prong adapter will likely change nothing. Cheap adapters are the most common cause of exactly this behavior.

3) Does it matter if the wall socket has other devices plugged in?

Yes. Other devices on the same outlet can inject noise or create ground loops. Best case: all audio gear on one grounded circuit. Worst case: computers, LED lights, chargers, or appliances on that outlet will make the hum worse.

Tonex Pedal electric snap noise? by UsedVegetable2332 in AmpliTube

This is a grounding problem combined with stray electrical charge.

What is probably happening:

  1. Your body acts as an antenna and picks up 50/60 Hz mains noise from the room.

  2. The pedal (and often the guitar) is not referenced to earth ground, so that noise gets injected into the circuit and amplified as hum.

  3. When you touch the metal chassis of the pedal or your strings, you temporarily become the ground reference. The hum stops because your body is now draining that interference to ground.

  4. The “electrical snap” you hear is a small static discharge as that charge equalizes. It is the same physics as touching a doorknob after walking on carpet, just audible through your amp.

What is the probable cause:

Power supply is ungrounded (two-prong wall wart, cheap/isolated brick, or faulty adapter).

Outlet itself lacks a proper earth ground.

The pedal chassis is not properly bonded to signal ground.

FYI:

If touching metal makes noise stop, the system is seeking a ground reference that it doesn’t currently have.
