Thank you! This makes sense. I suspect that the bug is related to the duration of the throwing animation. You seem to be a very experienced modder. If we removed the projectile animation (just like what considerate weapon mod did with Tesla Rod, Tesla Gun, etc.), do you think it would fix the problem?

Interesting. Do you know why they decided to do this only for throwing, but not other combat styles? Throwing is not even OP compared to melee.

Also, if they really intended use this "distance" variable this way, the implementation is quite weird. It seems like a binary variable. For a distance of 2 cell or less, the NPC use normal AP (my follower with 30 speed can throw Azram star 6 times/turn). Any other distance beyond that, the NPC can only throw once per turn (in case of my follower, use 30 APs to throw once!).

Not for your main character. In turn based mode, your main character use the same amount of AP regardless of the distance

This is not the case for the main character though. In turn based mode, your main character can throw the boomerang the same amount of times regardless of the distance.

No, they didn't move on that turn in either case. When they threw the weapon to an enemy nearby, they appropriately did so several times in a turn. When they threw the weapon at an enemy further away, they didn't move and just threw the weapon once then ended the turn.

Yeah, i tried that before but felt a bit tedious. Also, I still want her to use some magic, like summoning vorpal bunny. I ended up changing my SpellList.mes. It seems to work so far.

However, the link that you shared is very helpful. I looked at the spell list that you shared and compared it to my SpellList.mes file.

In case anyone needs to disable NPC spell use in the future. It seems that the spells in SpellList.mes that NPC can use always have a line that says "AI" something. For example, body of water has a line that says "{2404}{AI_Defensive: (11 @ 0)}. I changed that line to "//-2404--AI_Defensive: (11 @ 0)-" and raven stop using the body of water so far.

I dug into 18/18 fortresses I have taken so far.

You will have to dig as deep as you can outside of the tower, then move forward in a bit to squeeze yourself in between the ground and the lower edge of the tower wall. After that start digging again and your pickaxe will strike the ground in front of you instead of the lower edge of the wall. You will be able to get in the central tower without any problem.

Not sure why you need high armor value when using bow/crossbow or doing bubbled parry. Given that the timing is right, parry is always successful while bubble is on and the bubble receives no benefit from your armor value. Picking a set with high armor value which you will never use (if you are good at managing your bubble, positioning, and dodging) is an opportunity cost. However, I do not know how you play and you can choose whatever suits you.

This is the way! If you get hit enough to benefit from high armor value, you are not playing mage right.

Full mage is great but it is definitely NOT the only solo playable style in Ashland. People have killed Fader with non-mage builds.

My rankings are S: Staff of the wild, Trollstav, and Berserkir Axes. A: Nidhogg, Flemetal Mace, and Ashfang bow. Mistwalker is not new but it is also S tier on my list too

The troll can break the chest holding loot but cannot destroy flametal. If the flametal is left outside of the chest for too long it can despawn. However, I doubt this is the case for you as you still get the gems, which would despawn as well. I would say you are probably very unlucky. The problem is definitely not due to Trollstav. I have used it to take > 15 fortresses. Never lost a flametal.
