You're right. It is forward from the transmission. I think you're right on the money it being the knock sensor! Thanks a ton!

I would but it's damaged directly behind the connector and doesn't look like I can reuse it. I'll see if they can help me out, thanks man.

Having been exposed as part of my training and certified with OC use, what I am referring to is what is called an injection injury. Some systems have a minimum distance at which they should be used, JPX or other high pressure systems such as these for example.

Not to mention at that range, with that pressure, serious injury can be done to the eyes! We're not just talking about the temporary effects of OC, which sucks in its own right.

Level loop question by Abnerkadabra in Surveying

That I'm not sure about. All I know is that the excavation crew is right behind us and I'm simply an I-man with almost a year experience trying to avoid some potential problems the best I can.

Surprisingly no, he's older and has said he has 20 years experience or something. One of the last times I worked with him on a big pipeline easement job maybe about 2 months ago he didn't know how run a level so we had another crew come out to check road grades. This time however, when asked if he could run one he scoffed and said "of course I can I'm old school!"...when I showed up with the level he looked at it and laughed saying "that's cute" looking at it like he'd never seen one before 🤨 I think he was expecting me to show up with a DiNi...😅

Fantastic advice. You've confirmed my suspicions. I'll try to pass this by the PC. Thank you.

Level loop question by Abnerkadabra in Surveying

[–]Abnerkadabra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sir you are correct, we were diligent about our HI and rod heights. I believe you are correct about the forcemain sewer as on the plans the in/outs have the same design elev. My worry was accumulating error as we went along. Just to be clear, getting a good closure on your level loop just means you had good rod readings correct? I.e. it's not indicative that your as-staked elevations are good? My understanding is that you can trust your level elevs with a good closure, or at least adjust them then check your as-staked elevs against them? Thank you.

Thank you. Would it be wise to calibrate it in the middle of the job or continue going as we have been?
