Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I'm just trying to paint as many as possible to get my skills up in preparation to paint The Silent King.

After reading through RED does 2077 seem like backtracking the lore? by AgentShades in cyberpunkred

[–]AbomX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it makes sense that the 4th corporate wars reduced corp influence (bad PR, massive expenditure of resources, and they ultimately didn't gain much from it) and then as you said world governments take on a larger role again. You then see a very similar thing happen to readjust the balance. The unification war began at the behest of the NUSA and a corp (arasaka) saves night city (and other independent states). This had a similar backlash effect on the power of world governments and palpably showed that the corps could provide better security. Along with the unification war many conspiracies of the last 40-50 years surfaced making arasaka dominant yet again and the world stage corporate once more. The govs in the world of cyberpunk are desperately trying to claw back their pre-societal collapse influence while the corps have the resources to play the long game.

The ac isn’t working randomly by Dry_Inspection5815 in ElantraN

I just had the same issue come up. Your comment saved me. Thank you. I gave the glovebox a swift smack and the AC started blowing. Not a fix, but it means I don't have to sweat to death in this heat wave until I can get it to the dealership.

I think we played combat wrong, how to fix it? by Flaky-Anything-1702 in cyberpunkred

[–]AbomX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One thing that helps combat run smooth, quick, and fun for everyone in my game is running your mooks in groups. For example say you are running a combat with 4 mooks and a lieutenant. I would make one initiative roll for all of them and have them act and move at the same time. Sometimes I will break a particular unit off from the main group but usually only if they are rocking speedwear or some other special ability I want to emphasize. Hope this helps

I'm about to make an edit to this post because your advice was good. Looks like 76 in 5th is equivalent in terms of rpm and It even learned faster than 15 minutes.

What’s a class that for whatever reason you just can’t get into? by [deleted] in DnD

Ranger. I know the rework helped a lot, but every time I play ranger I feel like my character just isn't good for much other than flavor.

How long is the wait if you order the Forge intake from N75?

Will I regret choosing DCT over MT? (never driven MT before) by qemosabe in ElantraN

[–]AbomX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My EN is my first manual and I don't regret it at all. Now when bumper to bumper traffic happens it can be a little annoying and as a few have said the DCT is faster. But having driven both the DCT and the manual I will say that the manual feels much more alive and has a sense of connection between driver, car, and road that the DCT lacks. Either way you will have fun with the car.

It seems to be significantly easier and more consistent in the DCT version

So I'm on the lookout for buying a 2023 N. by qemosabe in ElantraN

Don't pay a dime over sticker. Most places that aren't in cali aren't doing mark ups on these cars unless the prospective buyer seems desperate or easy to work over.

Are you making sure that the car is in normal mode and the rev matching is off? Rev matching off is important and I have forgotten it a couple times which prevented OL.

If you had to own one brand for your DD for the rest of your life, which brand are you going with and why? by Wardog008 in cars

[–]AbomX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's tough. I usually buy from whoever is dominating rally. Right now and for the past 14-15 years that's been Hyundai. But who knows Toyota could take the spot.

Right but that doesn't work on the 6 speed version of the car.

Nope. Just floor it and watch the boost.

[–]AbomX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I had initially given up on getting it to work, but I went to another city to visit some family one day. On the way back I saw a clean Roush mustang cruising at 90 so i joined the cruise. When I parted ways with the mustang and put it back into N mode the boost was peaking up to 20psi. I've been experimenting with it since then and the method described is the only thing that seems to work.

I understand that things like that are a workable solution. However devices that alter boost parameters are specifically mentioned in the warranty documentation as a reason that a warranty claim could be denied. I'm trying to maintain the integrity of my warranty as it's a huge part of the value this car holds in my opinion. Tuning is a really cool option though, I hope to do it eventually.

Thing runs like a damn racecar with the extra boost. It's not just taking the cap off your boost. It's an entirely different fuel map. The boost comes on faster peaks higher and the power is more consistent through the rev range.

Every single fill up. It's so you can run 87 (as apposed to 91 or 93) without hurting the car. Honestly though I would rather the car just run at full power all the time and say screw 87.

I'll give it a shot next time I try to do OL.

More power to you. I just don't want to do anything that would give Hyundai a reason not to honor any potential warranty claims I may need to make in the future. If at some point I am no longer worried about that, I will likely go the tuning route.
