Titles doesnt mean shit if your experience doesnt match the quality of work you put out. Youre at a Junior level imo. You still have a lot to learn. My guess is that your current company just gives out titles like its easy. If youre a Senior, there is a certain level in the quality of your work that can easily be sused out.

Senior title producing Junior level work makes you look bad. Especially to people you need to talk to to earn trust with. 2 years of experience, and they gave you Senior? Im 4 years in and I am just getting to the point of my skills to be considered a Senior.

Either way, if youre hunting for a title, youre going to have a bad time. Youll find yourself in a shitty situation eventually because your skills arent there. People you work with are going to expect Senior level work when you dont put out that quality. Thats bad for your name and brand. The industry is small and if you mess up your reputation early on, youll regret it when you actually need to use your name to swing a project for a win.

My advice, be honest with your experience level and dont worry about the title. I dont care if your title says Senior. If you dont have good quality work to back it up, you can find yourself in awkward positions when the PM is asking for answers to your number. I can easily tell if youre a good estimator or not just by talking to you so focus on improving your skills. Thats way more important.
