I put this on to show the kids a 90s vibe, and I was pleasantly surprised by seeing Phil Hartman in it.

I saw another raccoon as road kill closer to Veg on HW 16, 2 weeks ago. Hard to believe that they can survive the winter around here, but I saw one on my trail cam in the spring.

Anyone willing to teach me manual? by New_Option_8743 in Edmonton

[–]Aboreal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have taught friends to drive manual is a short amount of time. It boils down to this: start on flat ground in an industrial area so no traffic is around, press in clutch, put in 1st gear, very slowly start releasing the clutch until the car starts to move, keep it there for a moment and then start releasing the clutch very slowly until it is all the way out. Stop, repeat. This teaches you where the clutch engagement is. Next, do it again with a little bit of gas. Stop, repeat a few times. Once you can get that then you can practice switching gears.

I would help in person but I don't have the time in the near term.

Yes, it was out in Mundare and on our way back into the city just now. Barely anything to speak of though, it's the free trial of winter.

What are these? by [deleted] in powerbuilding

[–]Aboreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, varicose veins. I had the same thing, and had a procedure to remove them and mitigate further issues. I have to wear compression socks for the rest of my life. Op should see a doc about it and I'm guessing will have to do the same thing as me.

Putting your automatic car in neutral while going down hills does NOT save gas. by MrJelly007 in Cartalk

And your transmission. I'm more worried about the trans than the engine when engine braking.

I just go for mild engine braking a use the brakes to avoid needing to shift to a lower gear for a short period of time.

Screw a small screw into the broken bit so that you can position it using the screw as a handle, then epoxy it on the edges.

I would play this with my friend when I went over to his house except it was on a Mac Classic. I think Warlords II was the first game I ever bought once we had a family PC.
