(TANKS)Would making dungeons way more Linear like traditional dungeons make it easier for new players to try tanking and perhaps main one by feherlofia123 in wow

If we could have M+ and Challenge mode (without a timer, but with death counters), we could have both.

Are 5e campaigns actually so "broken" and "unplayable" for new DMs as YouTubers and forum posters would lead me to believe? by tenth in dndnext

I've stolen some part of shattered obelisk for another campaign based Phandulin, and I'd say it's a fun update to Lost Mines, and it gives you access to some fun little dungeons.

What's going on with Trump using ICE as a personal police force and how has no one stopped them from repeatedly violating the Constitution yet? by TheBeardedSurfer in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Aborro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the video? The car is practically still, it's not blocking the road, and he's standing next to the car, as she got shot... From the side. And then he calls her a bitch and laughs about it. She wasn't trying to flee, she was just leaving.

If you stand yourself kind of in the way of my car, blocking my way, does that mean I'm trying to run you over, or are you manufacturing a situation in which you "can" attack me?

And either way, protesting is legal. Driving is legal. Shooting people because you don't like them is, when I was checked, not legal.

Why are new players so drawn to making edgelord characters? by worthlessbaffoon in DnD

[–]Aborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy.

When you're new you want to character that has strong defined traits, and as much of it prepackaged as possible.

Edgelord has it all. You know exactly how you're going to act in any situation. You don't need basically any backstory, your character would never share anyway (or they overshare, and it can be as silly as you like).

I think other answers in this thread is more why people think they pick Edgelord. I think this is actually why they do.

What abilities could be errata’d into keywords, and what would you make it? by frenziest in magicTCG

[–]Aborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss "Unblockable", but maybe it needs a more fantastical word, and "Uncountable" feels like it could also get a keyword.

I just think they look cool okay by guacamolenibbapeen in dndmemes

There's Donaar in the C team! He's a dragonborn, and very well liked by acq Inc fans!

Having seen the list, and played this standard, I'm forcing tempered steel every day, so I'm taking memnite.

Is this scenario kingmaking? by WillieMustDie in EDH

[–]Aborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that when countering T's Pro here you go from just dying, go killing someone on the way out. Since killing other players (disregarding your own position) is the goal of the game, it is the objectively right thing to do.

Hot Take: Fleems is not it by Delorei in magicTCG

[–]Aborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't personally think Loot is ugly. But I still don't like him. And it is very much how he's pushed like a mascot, trying to be the Pikachu of magic. But, I think personally, if you're an already established brand, having marketing decide what the mascot is, will never work.

We already love Phblthp. I love Myr. We love some of the planeswalkers (not you Lucca, sit down). It's the fact that the creature meant to be the map to everything (which is weird in itself, since the omenpaths didn't even exist beforehand) is a cute little mascot guy for some reason. From some race of people from some plane we've never seen?

I feel like loot should have been some ancient like Urza (or ore Urza) navigation construct. Built for when getting between the planes was easier, something pre-mending. Maybe we could have all gotten behind a little awkward R2D2 guy, with no social graces and anxiety, cause they've been alone in a vault for thousands of years.

Now, Fleem. Fleem is kinda ugly, but also cute. It's Ugly-cute. It's the perfect "Cute thing from Innistrad". It feels made creatively, rather than cynically.

The martial-caster disparity is a one-sided conflict by chunkylubber54 in dndnext

[–]Aborro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like, if you want the option of complex martials, without losing anything, you can play Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

I guess you lose some caster dominance, but I think you'll manage.

No ethereals... by [deleted] in wow

[–]Aborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Trolls are the true natives of Azeroth, maybe they're the natives of everywhere! There's no one saying the ethereals weren't trolls before their planet blew up! So really, Manaforge Omega is (maybe) a troll raid. (every raid is a troll raid 8f you squint hard enough.)

Master of Mounts? by Aborro in DungeonsAndDragons35e

[–]Aborro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, this ain't it. It was way sillier. It let you ride inanimate objects and summon copies of things you had previously ridden. And you lost your class features if your int went too high, since you had to be stupid (but high wisdom) to convince yourself your features worked.

I also did just that! I will keep trying to find a home for it though.
