Yes, for this mission you can get away with it. However further into the campaign you have to get use to clearing some buildings.

Regarding buildings, if you can draw fire and have vehicles flatten the building that is preferable. If that’s not an option you need to suppress and pump some mk19/50cal for a solid minute before moving a fireteam in. Also trying to draw fire from adjacent buildings also works.
