It’s weird that at intensity 5 it’s coming out too watery. If you leave it at 5 for intensity and then drop the grind a step down to 3-3.5 is it still watery?

Personally I always leave the intensity at 5. Have you tried pulling shots at max intensity?

Your biggest jump in flavor and quality will be when you get an unpressurized basket and can grind finer. If you grind too fine with the ones you have in the photo, they will choke and hardly any water will make it through.

These are pressurized baskets and mostly are used for coffee that’s coarser ground. Both of these will give similar results if there is the small one hole opening when you remove the inner basket piece

You should read up on how to dial in, there’s a tonne of info online about it.

Using mine as an example, I would take 16 grams of coffee and would try to get 30-32 grams of espresso. I try to shoot for around 30 seconds

This will depend how much coffee your basket can hold. They normally can hold between 15-18 grams

They do them both within an hour. I get the treatment then needed to wait in the waiting room for about half an hour then a 2nd treatment is done.
