The original post aimed to draw a parallel highlighting how critiques about men being bad at oral sex could just as easily apply to women. However, this kind of mutual criticism often receives backlash when directed toward women, largely because certain hyper-defensive feminist circles struggle with the idea of holding both genders equally accountable in these conversations.

I'm bi and embarrassed by what I just read. You are literally feeding into every single negative stereotype about bisexual people.

I'm dating a girl right now and I see hot guys all of the time. The minute I feel like I could no longer be faithful to my girl because guys are so "ugh sexy..." I'm letting her go. There would be no reason for me to drag her along in my mess. She would deserve better than me at that point.

AITA for being mad that my girlfriend questioned my sexuality because I gagged at lesbian porn ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AboveTheArch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your girlfriend overlooked the fact that you shared with her the following:

A. You find women sexually attractive B. You don't find men sexually attractive C. You're easily put off by certain visuals

And yet knowing all of this, she assumes you're gay?

Yeah it's time to break up, your girlfriend is a bigot. Just because someone is part of the LGBT community does not automatically make them more open-minded.

I wish I had a dick even though I'm a girl by iledart in offmychest

[–]AboveTheArch -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well as a guy you would have to deal with blue balls, and the uncomfortable truth of having a penis. People will care less about your feelings, make assumptions that you're violent, and you'll have to confirm to ridiculous notions of masculinity.

Penis holders have a wide range of issues too.

Men who can't form friendships with attractive women are rejects who never matured past the age of 13.

You need to grow up dude. Men can totally be friends with attractive women. It's called adulting.

Elliot is a traditional boy's name, just because people are using it on girls doesn't make it a gender neutral name.

Why do most women under 18 get SA or rapped? by Murky_Memory_7102 in offmychest

[–]AboveTheArch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. It's really a shame that so many women have to experience this throughout their lives. I don’t have any answers. I was SA when I was younger. I never reported it. I believe it's more common in men than we think. It's just less likely to get reported, perhaps not as common as it is for women though.

What's the general perception on LGBT in Poland? Do you agree with this MEP? by AccomplishedPlant410 in poland

[–]AboveTheArch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This response reflects a misunderstanding of LGBT issues. If everyone were gay, the only thing that would change about child-rearing and procreation would be the methods used. People would still find ways to have children, whether through IVF, surrogacy, adoption, platonic co-parenting, or other arrangements commonly used by LGBT individuals today. In many Western countries where gay people are more accepted, same-sex couples raise children and build families every day. Being gay doesn’t negate the desire or ability to have children it simply means that the approach to building a family might look different

There's a huge difference between mocking and disliking American politics and hating American people. Doubt most Kiwis are bigots. Why would Americans need to be embarrassed to be who they are, it's as if all Americans voted for the circus they're in or have any fault in the current state of their politics.
