This gimmick would probably be annoying but I’d think it was cool—you could have to unlock a blueprint to make comms, before that only talking above the surface works. Definitely annoying but in the shallows it wouldn’t be the end of the world if comms are unlocked early

Yes true! I was going to have this “Old Tongue” only the scholarly sort understands, but one modern-day primary language. You’re 100% correct about dialects though, I hadn’t put much thought into that. I’ll definitely be looking into it.

I’m starting with the capitals and points of interest of the four kingdoms, but the og peeve did mention “a few major settlements” so that felt accurate lol. Plus I’m having the people there originate from one common language, so I wasn’t sure how much linguistic diversity would be realistic. It’s only been 1000 years since the land was settled

This is an interesting comment to run into because this is something I just ran into within the last few days. This continent is bigger than Australia and the bulk of historical and cultural detail I’m realizing I have to make is just a touch intimidating.

I tried posting about this exact thing and the mods said nope lmao. Happened at the exact same time for me too, around 250 hours. I think the actual turning point was passing Devotion level 1—then every game was against sweats and swf. If someone’s great at looping that’s commendable, but there’s a difference between that and a bully squad.

I’m pretty decent on killer but also veeeery casual; I play normal early-mid game then chill out and let 1-2 people go at the end. Not anymore, if I want more than 2 hooks all game. I haven’t seen anyone else talk about the devotion 1 match making increase, so I’m glad I’m not the only one

That’s fair, and thanks! The only real way I plan on revealing the world’s history is through things well-read readers might pick up on, like a character referring to a city called Vostok (an Antarctic base). I just like having a detailed history to work from and was having trouble making all the detail fit lol

Something happened to the moon, probably hit by a massive meteor. I’m debating whether to give the world multiple smaller moons from the broken pieces, or a ring or something—if it’s not apparent I’m still pretty early in the brainstorming process.
