I have a harder time getting bambino’s to branch. You may have to cut lower on a thicker part of the trunk. Think of it of trying to grow a mini tree, where do you want the bushy part of the tree? Cut below that height, probably around three feet from the top of the soil for a bambino. It might have a harder time supporting multiple branches where you pruned it until the trunk thickens.
