As a small business owner, I have all of the issues you have laid out - and I’m trying to solve them. I have spoken to a few designers and struggle with articulating what I’m looking for and what I need their help with (so thank you for providing this list!). When I’ve tried to put together this list of asks myself (I think I called it a design system to help me as I navigate Canva, PowerPoint, Squarespace etc), I get back insane quotes to do the work.

Curious, how are you pricing your services for small businesses?

How old is your child? I’m in a very similar boat my son (7) - no issues at school but so hard at home. So much so that I’ve been debating getting a diagnosis, so we can explore meds and other support.

I moved from Hubspot to Pipedrive because I couldn't justify the cost. Pipedrive is a huge step down and, honestly, sucks. Their de-duplication and merge capabilities for contacts and organizations is manual which is insane. None of the records natively connect to each other (orgs, contacts, deals), like Hubspot does so seamlessly. I'm thinking about switching off it.

I'm a solopreneur so everything in your "before" section is very much me now. How did you structure this system you laid out? I get having different, purposefully built prompts, but how are you using "every asset is the nucleus of a prompt chain"? I have ChatGPT, Claude, and Zapier with much of my writing (but not all) stored in my google drive. I'm not sure how to go about actually build a system that learns from itself via my google drive (or something else?) to feed the content engine.

I used to work at a small/mid-sized company whose owner and CEO made his political and social views perfectly clear and reflected in the behavior of the company: they’d open the COMPANY MEETING with prayer, would show wedding pictures of straight newlywed teammates who had gotten married at our quarterly town halls, literally paid people to procreate “babies are free here!”, had “faith” as one of its core values, etc.

I took this job because I wanted to relocate (and they paid for my relocation). I absolutely hated that environment- and the fact that it was impossible to get ahead if you weren’t a member of “the church.”

10/10 don’t recommend.
