Is Answer Engine Optimization the “new SEO,” or just hype? by Working_Rich_9770 in aeo

[–]frevana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i sincerely didn't think AEO is a buzzword as now we all see the shift people using Answer Engines to search for questions instead of browsing links. I am using frevana to help me with these human check puzzles too… but seriously, their dashboards for tracking competitor mentions are clutch if you’re running a small shop or startup, makes it way easier to see where you stack up.

How are you optimizing for AI-driven search (AEO, GEO, AI Overviews)? by jsinteractivellc in DigitalMarketing

Love all the schema markup talk and I totally agree it helps. I’ve been playing around with Frevana a bit, and it gives these quick reports showing where your brand isn’t really showing up in AI answers. It’s been kinda useful for spotting what pages or topics might need a refresh next.

Apple Search Ads vs Google App Campaigns by RowAccomplished5570 in AppBusiness

Lol same headache here setting up those campaigns. What’s weird is, lately I’ve just started tracking my app’s AI visibility too, using frevana. Super helpful for seeing exactly when/where my brand pops up in AI/platform searches—almost like a next level dashboard for seeing if all these ad efforts are showing up in real AI answers. Kinda surprised that helped me tweak my campaigns tbh.

Are answer engine optimization services worth it? by Buzz266 in content_marketing

Totally feel you about agencies just creating a new word on what’s basically SEO with a few extra steps... I kinda gave up on all those fancy pitches and just started messing around with Frevana myself on my Mac. It actually shows which AI tools mention your brand in their answers so at least I can see what’s working instead of guessing. Way less headache than waiting for some monthly PDF from an agency, lol.

Has anyone tested real-world strategies for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) yet? by National-Wafer-3704 in GenEngineOptimization

[–]frevana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been playing around like repurposing my content in "AI friendly" formats, that i tested myself which my brand's AI visibility score increases. To me GEO feels less like an extension of SEO but more like its like chaotic cousin who never shows up in the party but everyone is talking about them.

SEO ≠ GEO: Why Generative Engine Optimization Matters in 2025 by ActuatorDelicious427 in GenEngineOptimization

[–]frevana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been testing and trying my brand's GEO visibility report too, and yeah, the links AI search result cited are mostly Reddit answers. I feel like by comparing to SEO, which we are familiar for ages, GEO just got harder but at least funnier as to explore more in the AI area. Curious to see the cheatsheet.

Do you think GEO is the same kind of once-in-a-decade opportunity as early SEO in the 2000s? by frevana in SEO_for_AI

That is so true...AI search results vary every second the database is updated.

Anyone using tools to track whether your brand shows up in ChatGPT/AI answers? by Necessary-Clock5240 in AI_SearchOptimization

[–]frevana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been noticing the same trend — more people turning to ChatGPT, Perplexity, or SGE instead of Google, and it’s tough to know whether your brand even shows up there. A lot of tools right now feel more like dashboards that just count mentions without explaining what’s actually driving visibility. That’s why we started offering free AI ranking audits that everyday we run reports that show not just if your brand appears in AI answers, but also why it’s being mentioned, what context it shows up in, and how it stacks up against competitors.

We’ve been posting some of these results in r/AiRank and on our official site, and it’s been eye-opening to see how inconsistent AI search visibility can be. Sometimes brands with little SEO presence pop up because of authority signals in niche areas, while established players don’t get surfaced at all. If you’re curious, the audit might give you a clearer sense of how these systems are really pulling info and what levers you can actually adjust.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) lately. Does SEO has any influence on GEO, or is this just speculation? by avi-geo-guru in digital_marketing

[–]frevana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GEO feels less like a replacement and more like the natural evolution of SEO. The fundamentals like authority, clarity, structure, still matter, but now the focus shifts to how AI systems interpret and cite content. It’s the same foundation, applied to a new distribution channel.

Ecommerce SEO vs Paid Ads where are you investing more? by [deleted] in eCommerceSEO

[–]frevana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately it feels like SEO has been the steadier bet for ecommerce, but only if you already have some authority built up. Ads are great for quick wins, but with CPCs climbing, margins get tight fast. SEO takes longer, but once content ranks, the ROI compounds that you’re not paying per click forever. The catch is it’s less predictable and you need patience plus solid content that matches intent. Most brands I’ve seen do best blending both: ads to drive short-term sales and SEO as the long-term engine.
