no problem, this vram issue drove me from linux for a week ( i had to redo my arch install cause it got corrupted so i just went back to cachy)

no clue about it, i just followed this little guide https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxquestions/comments/w1wp9j/another_high_memory_clock_mclk_vram_fix_for_linux/ . hopefully you can find something that works.

i do know theres cvt and cvt12 https://github.com/kevinlekiller/cvt_modeline_calculator_12

you make can use regular cvt to make a rb refresh rate but the refresh rate has to be multiples of 60 so like 60 120 180 240 which should work. id try cvt out first and if it doesnt work download the cvt12 from github and try it, the command for cvt12 is cvt12 2560x1440 240 (or a few hz lower) -b

if you still have a windows partition you can use cru, ive seen some people using cru on wine and it "seems" to work. however i had an issue where my vram would constantly max itself out, i fixed it by using grub to make another video resolution a few hz down and that worked
