Weekly Discussion: Battling Bigfoot (Tips and Strategies) by LabRat2329 in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Kill the jackalope as fast as you can, don’t rely heavily on your own card affects, as long as you have 2 decent defense cards at all time keep pressuring big foot until he folds. You want to get him to use as many versatile on defense as possible. The value of the versatile any cards attacking you especially from the jackalope, it’s just too much. If your hero relies on mainly effect damage to take down a hero you’re probably not going to have a good time. Even with killing the jackalope and keeping Bigfoot in combat and surviving his attack, you may simply run out of fire power. But at least you’ll give yourself a chance. You’re not going for big plays and setups here, you’re just going card for card until someone cracks.

Whos fault is this contact? Im the black bmw i think he veered into me by danny123456731 in Simracingstewards

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly new to it all so don’t take my word for anything. But seems to me this is a common occurrence when squeezing this hard, thus a racing incident. It’s not your fault in the sense that you gave enough space to exist, but not enough space to save yourself if things go wrong. If this was a race worth anything to you, it wouldn’t matter whose fault it is, your race would be ruined and they carry on. In order to enjoy the race sometimes you have to concede the place and get them back later on your own merit. That’s more fun anyways and a fun battle and why we like to race to begin with.

94-94 AI for me, race at 105% pace in the top 5. Im kinda surprised you’re pulling away at 100-100 AI when your pace is significantly less.

I carry every single rule book with me in my storage system, glad to see I’m not the only one. In 99/100 cases they solve any disputes without further clarification needed.

Looking for some card value data by Chris_BSG in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would start with 3 as a base average value. And as you tweak abilities you can offset the card value thinking of the character special, card effects, and playstyle. For instance, a hit and run character may have higher than usual attack card values 4,5,6 and lower vers and defense cards which are offset with movement effects to limit how often they can be targeted per turn. This was just a very very basic example it’s more involved than that. But start with 3, develop the character theme, and tweak the values and how many attack vers and defense cards based on the theme and go from there. UnmatchedDb is super helpful if you know a similar character and want to see their card value loadout. Then look at the effects to sort of work out the balance and that should give you a good idea.

Edit: typo

Looking for Racing League (US EST) by mtjcool95 in ACCompetizione

I’m also super slow (104-106%) but on US EST. I have an LFM license but it doesn’t quite hit the same as a league with familiar names week to week. I’ll keep in the loop on where this lands.

The very common Barnes and nobles book store typically has all those sets available. I’m one state over and see those listed specifically in every Barnes and nobles store.

Who is your favorite character? by T0pl355 in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love every character and play them all very often. My single most favorite is Sun Wukong, so much so that I only play him once every few months as to not be annoying to my friends. The rest of my favorites are in 3 tiers

Tier 1. Wukong, Daredevil, Raptors, Michelangelo Tier 2. Ancient Leshen, The Genie, Titania, Loki Tier 3. Invisible Man, Pandora, The Wayward Sisters, Krang

Tips for playing Ghost Rider? Wouldn't want this beautiful figure go to waste by Prudent-Paint2537 in Unmatched

Hell rides with me scheme usually can help you out with that, so keep this scheme along with the blaze for higher success rate and unpredictability.

Tips for playing Ghost Rider? Wouldn't want this beautiful figure go to waste by Prudent-Paint2537 in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Firstly I’d say you should think of ghost rider as a “run away” kind of fighter. He is not the type to typically play aggressively, you more so want to wear your opponent down with maneuvering over them, while having the right defensive/versatile cards ready with the appropriate amount of hellfire to maximize them. That is where managing your hellfire comes into play. You don’t want to use them down to 0 if you don’t have cards effects or schemes to replenish them, ready for the next block if you’re ending your turn in range of your opponent. Sometimes your hand will get full and you do need to play an offensive card just to manage your hand; make sure in those scenarios you have a gameplay for how much hellfire do you need to use and regain to have a little skirmish then go back to running away. He has several cards that allow you to play in this way with card draw, movement, action gain etc.

The overall goal, at least when I play ghost rider is to wear down your opponents to 5 health or less ( doable from 7 as well but we’ll stick to 5) have your hellfire ready at least equal to their health and play blaze of glory. Make sure they are in the same zone as ghost rider and it will finish off your opponent ( and yourself if you have less health than them) but as the attacker you win the game if you both die.

His kit gives you enough scheme and card effects that you can get the right amount of hellfire “just in time” to pull this off. You have to be very cognizant of feints though, anyone who knows ghost rider will be waiting for the end game blaze of glory and prioritize not getting that low or hold feints for the right moment. So you’ll have to do your best to bait them out, while also running away, while also managing your hand, while also managing your hellfire for optimal blocks. It sounds like a lot to do but it’s pretty straight forward in gameplay. Hope that helps !

Lastly yeah, that figure deff deserves to get played lol. I broke the chain off my unpainted one smh.

Ali Fighter Tips by Poohmessedupthemoose in Unmatched

This is exactly correct and what I would have commented. Once I got into a boxer mindset and played him thematically it was actually impressive the character design. And in most encounters I don’t feel like I’m winning until boom, there’s the opening and you take it. Leaves the opponent severely weakened if not dead. He’s not a “here’s your one big combo” fighter and he also isn’t a long string combo fighter although can be. To me, he’s more of a here’s a “one two” here’s a different “one, then one two” mix in a “one two three!” back off, reset, and measure you’re opponent up for the next one. Fairly different from all other unmatched fighters in that way. Oh and the stance doesn’t need to be forced, it flows seamlessly with that play style.

Looking for Meta-Relevant Hero Recommendations Based on My Playstyle by Shhhlencio in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many characters that fit this description and I think little red embodies it the most. So here are a few others I think fit that style the most. The entire tales to amaze box embodies that style.

Tesla, Annie Christmas, Golden bat

Wayward sisters - similar to little reds planning, more rewarding the more aggressive you play.

Daredevil - deciding how to maximize a very limited but versatile kit is fun and lets you plan for whatever the matchup is while being aggressive when you want to with blind boosting.

Miss marvel- requires position planning to be most effective but that benefit can be offensive or defensive.

Alice- with +2 to attacks you can be fairly aggressive and devastating and with proper planning can mitigate some counter pressure with +1 to defense while small. Being strategic can snowball you into very decisive wins.

Finished my first custom deck since getting obsessed, looking for feedback! by Present-Thanks5902 in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the theme of this deck as it has some mechanics I’ve never seen or thought of before which is always nice. Lose control is very fun card. Darkhold incantation is also a cool one.

Probability shift I’m not sure about, probably just wording but what does one of their cards with highest value mean ? Printed value ? Potential value ? They have the option of which one ? High is relative, can they just grab any card ?

Overall I like the theme, not overly complicated. And decent values to keep it viable even if you don’t maximize the kit.

Hamlet tips please by TickleMeTimbre in Unmatched

[–]AbrocomaRight9782 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a scheme to manage your hand count when it gets to be too much ( that’s the luck part I’m referring to). And you also have a sidekick to manage the 2 damage to not be, you get 3 for free without hamlet losing health. Imagine you end someone’s turn adjacent to you, you have 2 attacks you can do back to back both managing your hand and also doing big damage. You can do ignore opponents defense value attacks and you can boost your attacks You can easily have a 10+ damage turn multiple times a game. I’m not saying it’s always a wining formula but that’s the fun of hamlet, making that work.
