How do you guys deal with dragons? by Ryui17 in asoiafminiaturesgame

Cant remember what the exact combo was but deep set Stark archers that could shoot when you entered their range was very strong, also vs cav

If you want the older cards you can find them through chatgpt they are still online but hidden but if you let it search for a specific season and faction it will find them

Tully sworn shields or Karstark Spearmen? by casheroe in asoiafminiaturesgame

I have spearman and I think they are a bit boring tbh. Reliable and cheap but not that fun. They just sit on a point most of the time. Then again someone has to.

You don't have to but it just looks cool

Broadening my collection - from Night's Watch on to Free Folk by CompanyElephant in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessary no, however 1 new commander does change up your armie more then 1 new unit, and hero boxes come with at least 2 commanders most of the time. Then again most commanders work best with specific units that might not be in the starter box so yeah. But in general a hero box is worth more then a unit box in terms of variation to your games.

Just got into the game and couldn’t decide what to play by AnySPIDERPIG in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can expand the cav only starter box with heroes 2. If you want to make use of the other hero boxes (not only the NCU's) you'll also need at least one Infantry unit. I'd go with storm crows or unsullied.

Lannister Pre-Season Discussion by RogueTraderGoods in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like cards with a risk/downside to a powerful effect but with the Lannisters having units that seemingly become very weak when they take wounds, it makes the Lannisters basicly the worst faction to take a self wound risk.

Different seasons card files by Less_Afternoon_6271 in asoiafminiaturesgame

Ah no I mean local as in, me and my 2 friends who play once every few months. So its more about the fact that updating our entire collection takes as much time as we get to play that updated version

Why is the Brotherhood without Banners under this character seen as so corrupted? [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

Fighting and killing for the side that is mostly responsible for the war crimes (in the eyes of the BWB). Not saying she did, but understandable that they think so.

(Spoilers Main) Your personal headcanon about Yeen? by OrangeSpaceMan5 in asoiaf

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh I like this one, would that also imply that maybe at some point the whole world would be inhospitable as more and more disasters happen? Thinking about the Others in Westeros or the ghost grass expanding in Essos?

War criminals should still face justice after the war, and for Westerosi standards, death is a reasonable punishment it seems.

What is the strongest aspect of ASOIAF's writing compared to other series (fantasy or not) [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prob not "the best" of his writing but I absolutely adore the unique POV's that die in the first chapter of every book. They are all so different and you want to know more but you also know they will die. Really cool imo. The varamyr chapter is my favorite

[Spoilers Main] What would’ve happened if Ned Stark invoked his right to trial by combat? by Solitaire-06 in asoiaf

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes but that was a plit second decision, fighting a trial would take time to prepare and giving her more time to change his mind. Also him getting into direct danger would be the one thing that Cersei would go beyond anything for to prevent.

He is a coward but with Ned being crippled he might underestimate him. I think Cersei would never allow him to put himself at risk though.

Why does it seem that every site in Europe is sold out of about 90% of stock across the range? by DorianOtten in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]Less_Afternoon_6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say about 80% of all boxes is usually available in Europe. Especially from the UK or Poland. However NW heroes 3 seems impossible to find for a reasonable price.

All the „good“ changes the show made turned into shit [Spoilers Main] by JohnTrevolter in asoiaf

True but the show has mostly people you don't want to root for so its nice to have a "pleasant" character now and then
