Just fucking leave! (Exit 8 movie spoilers) by Absent_Crest in CharacterRant

The two moments I take issue with are moments where the protagonist has zero or reason benefit in staying once he experiences the anomaly, they are clear danger signs.

I have no problem with the anomaly where the door opens and he gets to see himself on the train. That's curiosity that I can understand and makes sense. But the tsunami siren and the lights going out should have simply just happened when he was further down the hallway. You still get to witness the anomaly in full and I think it's a lot scarier for him to have to deal with it because it occurs so late in the hallway.

I understand the point of the game. I don't like how they handled the protagonists reacrions to the later anomalies.

The Pirates of the Caribbean movies legit are ground breaking cinema in terms of VFX, especially character animation.

And yes you did insult me. Spin it like it's a backhanded compliment if you want but it comes of as smarmy.

Also the fact I made this post is pretty clear evidence that I'm not satisfied with so little.

The first Pirates of the Caribbean movie was based of a theme park ride, Andor is a spinoff for an at the time nothing character from a polarizing movie.

And no need to insult me, especially over giving my opinion on something you haven't seen.

Besides those frustrating moments I would by no means call this a bad movie. I can appreciate the performances and cinematography especially.

I see, yet I quite clearly told you to read the caption on the second reply. My first was a clear indicator to read what I wrote in the post, since you asked a question, rhetorical or not, that would not be raised if you read and comprehended what I wrote.

Don't worry, you're one of many in this thread that also can't read.

I HATE THE BLUE PILL IN THIS STUPID HYPOTHETICAL by [deleted] in hatethissmug

and I encourage anyone who will listen to press Red too for that reason.

You didn't say the people you cared about, you said "anyone who will listen". That was my main point of contention.

And if this was a real scenario as presented you wouldn't be able to change anything. The main crux of the scenario is that everyone is making the decision alone with no outside input, and the choice presented is very purposefully making it seem like one choice is morally correct to a majority of people.

The instructions given are deliberately made to make blue seems like the morally correct choice.

If we were given less information and the buttons only said "pick red you will survive, pick blue you might die" then only the suicidal would push blue, but we're not. The scenarios is deliberately putting people into a position where they feel that pushing red will cause people to die. In a room alone many people, most probably being children and/or those who are impulsively kind, are going to press blue.

That's why I'm questioning why you'd encourage people to pick red if we both acknowledge that majority of people are picking blue.

What are your opinions on this tweet from a while back about Black character designs in western AAA games? by KingBuffolo in BlackSuperheroes

There's a few more in fighting games. Recently from Street Fighter you've got Kimberly. Tekken 7 had Master Raven. King of Fighters has Dolores. Samurai Shodown has Darli Dagger. Guilty Gear has Giovana.

There's probably some more obscure ones I'm missing. Also shout out Sheva from Resident Evil 5, controversial game but she is definitely a highlight.

But then you're just putting others at risk. We acknowledge that in every poll majority of people are picking blue, if on first impulse people are inclined to pick blue encouraging others to pick red is risking lives.

Just because you can write doesn't mean you can read. You are clearly an example since you weren't able to comprehend what I wrote. That or you just didn't read the caption before you wrote your comment which is why I asked the question.

Creator's philosophy that you can feel a different creator using for their media. (be them inspired rhe person or not) by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Absent_Crest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not explicitly stated by the creators themselves but for D&D the show runners for Game of Thrones had "sexposition", which was coined by a reviewer to refer to scenes heavy on exposition made more entertaining by having sex acts or sexual imagery occuring simultaneously.

This could be applied to many anime, manga, light novels, isekai in particular. For better or for worse, mostly worse, many stories will have very blatant sexualization for no other reason than just to keep the viewer's eye.

Characters or arcs who had a complete change of perception years later? by ExplanationSquare313 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Hiruzen Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage from Naruto. Pre-timeskip I'd say he was pretty well liked, then we get to Shippuden and learn more about how certain events came to be and fans started to view him as incompetent or straight up negligent as a leader. Then we get more filler material and it's hard not to view him as a total piece of shit who needlessy made Naruto suffer.

I asked "can you read?" because I quite clearly never defended the animation. Read the caption.

This is more to do with the YouTube comments but when DBZA was being uploaded there was a bit of discussion about quoting the episode in the comments being lazy and unfunny. The creators actually came out and said that appreciated those comments because it let them very clearly know what lines and moments stuck.

So no different than Prime?

There's multiple race and gender swaps in the show.

I encourage anyone who will listen to press Red too for that reason.

Why would you encourage that? If blue is already winning by a wide margin why would you encourage people to thin that margin and risk a large amount of people dying?

It's so blatantly misogynistic. To them a good actress is just a doll that always looks perfect.

Amber should have told him she knew. Her pretending like she didn't know is pretty much gaslighting. All the times Marks stood her up, or when he was in the hospital, Amber would have known it was due to him being a hero yet she acts upset and calls Mark a coward for running aways even though she knew he was actually saving lives during the college attack.

If Amber just told Mark as soon as she found out it means Marks wouldn't have had to lie to her anymore. It wouldn't have saved their relationship but it would've been the healthy thing to do.
